Personal illustration. Relatively quick illustration, just wanted create this character I had going around my head and wanted to do something a little darker than usual. Plan to develop character further in the near future.Related content

Every single texture that I use is made by myself, I have a big collection of random things which I use to make them.

In this illustration the black stuff in the background is made up of pencil smudges, also in the background is hand made paper and threads. A lot of stuff in my other work is hadn painted or hand made paper which I've painted or messed about with in some way.

Lidya- you may want to check out issue 43 of "Advanced Photoshop" magazine. Si Clark has a tutorial/ article in that issue that would explain in greater detail the process he uses. The issue also comes with a CD with textures
Si- great job once again! I wish the face popped out more/had more contrast from the background. But other than that, its a great illustration. Interesting character
