Oh man, I'm supposed to be working on two at the moment, but have no time at all. Really shouldn't be thinking about any more. What's yours about?

I'm like working five things at once. My story's about this Gerdin girl, Kes Allyntahl who lives in a totalitarian police state. Her longing for an independent existence leads to arrest by the Secret Police. A mysterious Vinegarroon woman, Eileena Lazzarin, eventually rescues her. Stopping by Kesβs apartment to retrieve some important belongings, they are surprised by the Secret Police battering down the door. Eileena then uses an emergency spell to transport the apartment along with its contents to an old abandoned house. Eileena leaves shortly, but not before giving Kes three warningβ
(1) Do not pick up any gold you find lying on the ground.
(2) Do not go into a particular room in the house.
(3) Do not go across a particular barrier.
Eventually Kes disobeys all three warnings and must deal with the consequences of her actions.

That sounds a really cool idea. I take it you are writing it too? I have quite a few ideas in my head but I am not confident enough in my writing abilities. The two graphic novels I'm working on are with different writers. One is about this guy's real life experience of working in a mental hospital in New York and all the horrible things that go on there. The other is about a Gordon gecko type guy who dies at the beginning and then travels to the underworld. It's all about Greek Gods and how they've adapted to a modern life, and the humans attempt to become a god. I really need to start doing some work on them, I'm sure I'm annoying the writers. No time though....

While i enjoy digital art a lot, or whatever you may call it, i consider myself quite ignorant about it.
I just "like" things.
And whatever you make, i usually love. Don't know how to put it, it just feels right/home looking at your stuff.

Thank you, I would probably describe my work as more traditional than digital, I just choose the digital thing in the category menu because it's the first one on their, I'm not too bothered about defining what my work is.

Thanks, though in this illustration there are no trees, just the character's robe, which does look a bit like a tree trunk now that you mention it...

looks very interesting. I'm wondering how you're obatining that airbrush-effect, as well as that Ballpen-look with digital media?

Si2 In reply to HannaEckert [2008-06-24 16:12:38 +0000 UTC]
Everything is created by hand but it is all arranged and edited in Photoshop. What do you mean by the airbrush effect? I've never used one myself. The gray bits in the background are pencil smudges and the blood on the floor is just paint.

haha, I thought that you do everything within digital media. Well now I got it! haha, thank you.
everytime I've seen your art I thought something like: "How the fuck did he get that traditional-effect done?" very nice
