Description
It is not exactly a basilisk but it does have bird like design. SO basilisk it is . shoot me.

started from a thumbnail idea. then painted the head.

took me around 10 hours or so. My aim was to learn how to use textures in photoshop. I learned a lot in this. Most of time went in figuring out how to use the textures more than the actual painting process. The horns and scales are painstalkingly hand painted cause i could not use any texture for that . But I really enjoyed painting it. I dint use any reference. So i went wild with the design.

I was listening to aurora by long distance calling hence the name. Freaking awesome band they are.

I have to get faster and better. For now I shall headbang and go to sleep XD.
