this is very good..i need to learn how to draw vivid expressions like this..ive did a few character designs with facial expressions but none are as good as these

Weeeee! He looks brilliant! I love all his expressions! I particularly like his open mouth near the bottom. I always have the hardest time with mouth perspectives.

Not sure, I think it's the whole drawing an established character in a slightly different style...it could be easy to muck up.

Aw thanks so much. I was trying to keep him looking like he should, but just a bit more cartoony. It IS an excellent read. If you wanna catch up fast, just buy the hardcover collected series. The 3rd volume just came out.
