Description
Been watching Darkwing Duck on dvd since it's finally come out and enjoying every minute of it.I never really liked QuackerJack watching it growing up, but I realise that he IS fun to draw. Maybe more of him one day, until now...this.

he's is the very obvious spoof of Batman's The Joker and Superman's Toyman.

Is it bad that I almost killed my sister because she called Quackerjack fat?

lol. when I visited my sister's house to stay for a month, I let her two kids (my niece and nephew 5 and 4 years old) watch my 2 Darkwing Duck DVD sets. after they watched over half of them I asked who their favorite villain was and they said QuackerJack. I wonder if we'll be seeing more of him in the near future?

Oh, that's so cool! Kids need to watch good cartoons these days and I'm glad at least SOME of the Disney afternoon is still available. You will be seeing QJ in comic form...that's for sure

I agree. I wish they'd release the last of the volumes of some of the series like Tale Spin and Darkwing Duck. So many great episodes were left out of the sets. Like the one with Paddywack and the return episode of Taurus Bulba.
Thank goodness for the new comics. I'm still totally psyched about Darkwing's Triumphant Return!
And just in time for his 20th Anniversary too.

I'm with ya - I really wonder why they stopped. Maybe it's because nobody wanted to spend that much money on them at the time. They've all come down in price since and have been selling I'm sure...but maybe it's a case of "too little too late"

very true. When I got most of my sets they were around $20-$25. the only ones that I got for about $12 was the first two Duck Tales and vol 2. of Rescue Rangers. I've been trying to collect all the Disney afternoon sets but some volumes are harder to find then others. I can't even find Goof Troop. At least the episodes are on youtube. ^w^.

Yea, I waited on RR and got those two for cheaper - I passed up on Gummi Bears cause I never REALLY LOVED it. Maybe one day I'll pick it up...but it just seems pointless since it's not the whole thing anyhow. I think with Goof Troop, they put out those few dvds with a couple episodes on them to test the waters...thing is, no one is going to spend $15 for 3 episodes...so it probably "failed".
Disney needs to just do nice BluRay sets of each of the Disney Afternoon series...Gargoyles, Bonkers..all that shit. They're sitting on a gold mine..nostalgia sells!

oh man, Gargoyles was AWSOME! Brooklyn was my Favorite! Yeah I saw one of those Goof Troop DVD's at a Cracker Barrel resteraunt and saw the $15 for like three episodes? that was a little much. I could see if it was a whole season but, sheesh. Blu-Ray would be awesome. Showing them in restored HD with surround sound. your totally right, Disney qould make some major profit by re-releasing these shows again.

He would be scarier if he was clothed up as one babyborn toy. And killed many people with childish toy's. He looks like one uninnicent baby but inside he is one psychotic serial killer.

I have a similar experience. As a child, I really didn't dig the character. However, as an adult, I like him quite a lot.
As for your pic, it looks great! And woah, you gave him an extreme grin, LOL! Works, though!

My biggest gripe about Quackerjack is that unlike the other members of the "Fearsome Five", the writers had NEVER established a backstory for him.

Jesters are as menacing as old-world clowns, but theirs was a more refined feeling of terror, more like.. I dunno, an assassin or jewel thief.

But definitely. Watching the show nowadays it's like, "Wow... a lot of these characters are actually pretty damn cool!!"
I love how you drew this, it's just downright awesome. I must fave.
