The templars out number the assassins, the have better equipment,and they have better training.Not to mention the Templars are currently winning the war. So the Templars win

Training part is debatable since every assassin is an elite soldier not every templar is that. Then again when you have limitless wealth you can afford the best equipment in all areas and have near limitless numbers of soldiers elite training doesn't seem to amount to much.
