A bit easier to use then GIMP, at least I found it easier to use with out looking for tutorials. Both are free which is why I tried both, I keep using Paint.net because it opens images for coloring as it's own file type. This was useful because with GIMP when I tried to color a PNG it recognized what color filters were active, and that limited it to just the color black. While I am sure if I wanted I could of looked online for a way to fix it and been done it 5 minutes, I ended up trying Paint.net which allowed me access to the full color pallet. And I haven't gone back to the GIMP yet. I may when I work on improving my skills, but for now I am just going to keep doing my coloring in Paint.net.
