Aaah, I'm afraid I can't say much, mainly because I'm still figuring it all out! They're characters in a novel/possible web comic project I've been trying to figure out for a while! I can tell you their names though! The tall one is Exene and the short one is Vespa (named for the hornet, not the scooter).

That's okay, it's a good question! In the narrative, she's referred to as she/her, but in the context of story and her species, she's kind of both and neither. Her race doesn't reproduce sexually, so sex and gender are kind of ambiguous.
