As the day drew to a crimson close, Noki was absolutely certain that she could not take any more stress. She was surprised that her heart had not yet given out. Her white paws had started to drag as she trekked out with her young charges, following the gentle humming of the chummys. It was a sweet little tune, one which was rapidly becoming muffled by the clatter of a wagon full of assorted kitchen accessories.

Pulling along this wagon was little Kanna whom was tossing her head to a rhythm in her head, imagining how she was going to create that rhythm for all of Wynsiph. Behind the wagon, Magnai was dragging his heels too, dreading what new hell was surely waiting ahead of them. Living in the nook, the crimson one had heard Xanthe sing. This being an experience he was not keen to repeat. Whilst, even the rattle of Kanna’s wagon wound Magnai tighter each time it bounced over a pebble.

This would be their last group endeavour, it seemed that despite her disconnect, at least some part of Xanthe knew this. If anything was to be taken by the cream wyngling's unusual silence, trotting close at her friend’s side.

“Do you remember, this is near where we went to see the moonweeds,” Noki mused softly, something about the warmth of the dusk sky was soothing her strain. It ushered in the warm thoughts to match it, and, she realised, perhaps she would miss this little trio.

“No,” all three of the wynglings responded, Xanthe in a chirp, Kanna after a brief moment of thought and Magnai with a huff. Noki chuckled lightly, yes, she thought, she would certainly miss the group.

“I'm glad we didn't have to wear costumes all the way out here, they were not very comfy,” Kanna mused as she continued to patter along. She did remember the long journey of their first week. She had thought that her little feet would drop right off! “And that we get to see the buddees again! Do you think the ones who lived in our house will remember us?”

“Maybe,” Noki smiled gently, whilst, internally doubting the memory capacities of a bug. She may have learnt a lot for the camp, but she had not quite come to worship each and every bug in Wynsiph. She still thought many of them were not all that pleasant.

“I wish we got to see slimey again,” Xanthe mused and Kanna laughed.

   “He was cute.” She agreed

“I liked the pyrites,” Magnai spoke up, even surprising himself as he said these words. Glancing between the others as he waited for a reproach. None came, Noki just laughing patiently and Xanthe bobbing her head up and down.

   “I liked the market.”

“It's even better when it's not in chaos,” Noki did offer a slightly pointed response, a brow quirking upwards. She was still certain that she would not be able to look Coin in the eyes after a wyngling from their group had attempted to run off with her coins. Magnai blew out a huff and Kanna giggled.

“What was your favorite bug, Noki?” Kanna wondered enthusiastically, looking up at the biped with her gentle eyes. Noki paused for a moment in reflective thought. Some of the names she had already forgotten, but one experience she was certain she would not to get.

“The moonweeds,” she responded with a certain nod of her head, “I wish you had seen them,” she admitted, ruffling Kanna’s hair with a soft paw. Xanthe bounced up, nudging Noki's retracting hand with her own head, squinting her eyes and beaming up at the biped. In the midst of the conversation, Magnai had even drifted slightly closer, walking alongside the wagon now. The group continued on, falling silent once more to listen to the chummy’s not so distant song. They were nearly there. The end of bug camp.

Others this week!

Bug camp is finally done! I'm really proud of my team for what we've accomplished over the four weeks of this, I think we really stretched our limits of what we did and I couldn't be happier with what we've made. I guess this will be our little write up for how we did things and how we chose what we did lmfao!

(Swearing warning lol)
This was the spreadsheet I set up for our team to refer to for quick access. I had everything ready--links to journals, references images, and parts that people wanted to work on, etc.
I made this so that no one would be confused about their parts and what they should be doing at any given time, without needing to ask in our discord chat. This was important because I work full time during the day and I may not always be around to answer, and Ryou lives literally 12 hours difference away, so we needed a central point without being unfocused on our tasks. We also had a very organized shared Dropbox for our PSDs!

Originally I wanted us to do some larger scope stuff like a visual novel or more interactive things, but I realized that our team probably would not be able to push that level of work out given our schedules and abilities and so we scaled down by week 3. Part of the planning process! Not everything works out sometimes, and teams have to be flexible.

I'm most proud of the fact that we managed to keep to our schedule of doing all three prompts every week, and every piece is of amazing quality. Everyone put forth effort where it was due and it really shows in every piece we did. I wish I was more proactive in leading the team, making sure everyone was also learning something new in the process--which is why I swapped our roles for the last week HEHHEHEHH (sufferrr). I wanted everyone to have fun, but also get outside their comfort zones and try something new, and I think we achieved that well.

tl;dr: we done gud, im proud of my kids, this hell is over
