*Aster [Star] + Cervos [Deer]
*Astervos are very shy, very rare creatures. They live in space and don't usually socialize with eachother. When they do, they tend to communicate using body language. They are sentient, but can't learn, speak, or understand spoken language as we know it.
*They eat space dust, which keeps them powered and growing.
*When they run across the sky, they are sometimes mistaken for shooting stars by people from close-by planets.
*They will usually keep their heads low, because they don't have much confidence. The larger and more camouflaging their tails are, and the more protective their antlers are of their star, the more confidence and aggression the Astervos will display.
*They have a very acute sense of hearing, but no sense of smell.
*They have great color vision, but they aren't so good at focusing on things. It's easier for them to see motion.
*If they do happen to go near planets, their noses will help them detect the atmposphere and pressure on that planet and their bodies will adjust accordingly.
*Their tongues are round, blunt, and can be any color besides brown, black, white, or grey. Their tongues cannot be forked.
*Their tails do not have to be drawn exactly the same each time, but the colors and basic pattern must be consistent. This is not an extremely strict rule. Tails ALWAYS have a space pattern. No exceptions.
*The sclera of their eyes is always off-white, never completely white. They have goat like pupils, but there are slight variations. The eye colors are never dull, pure white, black, or grey. Their eyes are always big, and most don't have squinty eyes.
*Because they are vulnerable and not good at defending themselves, they have adapted to be extremely avoidant and good at hiding. They cannot use their antlers / horns to protect themselves as that's where their stars are cradled.
*They can sometimes have sheep / goat / horse - like qualities to them.

HERE are some examples of other traits! However, traits on an Astervos are not limited to these!
Any Astervos with more than 5 points on each antler is considered uncommon / rare antlers.
When you obtain an Astervos and upload its reference, please include a list of all the traits your Astervos has! You do not need to include head shape / eye shape / etc. Please also include a link to this deviation.

IF YOU OWN ONE, YOU MAY
- Give them piercings, clothes, or jewelery.
- Slightly adjust colors / pattern.
- Add or remove one point to the antlers, if it has antlers.
- Adjust the size of its star.
- Add scars or birthmarks.
- Change tongue color.
- Change one common trait to another common trait. [You don't need to ask for permission]
- Ask to purchase an uncommon / rare trait.
- Co-own, but we won't be involved in this if anything goes wrong between the co-owners, and only one owner [the original buyer, preferably] will be listed in the masterlist.
- Resell for the original price. If there is extra art of the character, you may add that to the price.

YOU MAY NOT
- Change common traits to uncommon or rare traits.
- Change uncommon traits to other uncommon traits. [However, you may ask about this]
- Change rare traits to other rare traits.
- Drastically change the design or colors. [Again, you may ask about this]
- Change the species without permission from both us and the other species' owner.
- Resell for more than the original price, unless there is extra art of the character. You may then add that to the price.
- Breed them.

TRAIT RULES + MARKING AND COLOR GUIDELINES [TBA]

After wandering for around 2 billion years, an Astervos reaches the end of its mortal life. However, when its star goes out, depending on how powerful it was, it will occasionally form a massive black hole, and the Astervos will be revived. Instead of a fragile star, constantly burning itself out for energy and needing to be protected lest it get knocked away, an Astervos with a black hole is able to suck up and consume any threats that come their way, and all their energy comes from the space around them. They essentially become immortal, almost like gods.

Many Astervos consider it the greatest achievement and reward for surviving so long. They are greatly respected, but also feared by all other Astervos. Their physical appearance is altered as well, now that there's no need to hide. These Astervos are known as Quasarvos. Anyone who has owned an Astervos with at least two uncommon traits or one rare trait for 4 months can ask us to upgrade if they'd like to. They must have drawn their Astervos at least five times to qualify. Any other Astervos will not be strong enough to survive this. However, Quasarvos can also be obtained by being purchased from auctions / adopts / MYOs / customs.

*Quasar [Powered by and/or containing a black hole] + Cervos [Deer]
*Quasarvos are much more powerful and dominant than any normal Astervos. Unfortunately, due to this they are feared and avoided. Many become extremely lonely. Occasionally, they will decide to consume themselves. This is the only way they can perish. When they do this, everything that ever entered their black hole will be spit back out, and it will form a small galaxy. The Quasarvos can die happy, knowing new life will be created from what it left over.
*Quasarvos develop horns on the sides of their face. They sometimes also develop fangs or tusks, similar to a water deer.
*Quasarvos can have any number of points on their antlers, but their antlers will always be bigger and grander than any normal Astervos.
*Because of the strong pull they exhibit, they will always have space junk floating around their tails. They will occasionally draw planets and stars to them. They like to protect young stars because they know an Astervos could be born from one.
*They retain their atmosphere-detecting skill, but it is now unusable, because of how massive and dangerous they are. They know there would be no way for them to near a planet.
*They are extremely wise, but often grow bored because they've seen everything there is to see. Some become aggressive and violent due to this.

RULES
- Any rare traits the Astervos had previous to transforming MUST stay. This is not the case with common and uncommon traits, which can be altered freely when the Astervos transforms.
- Astervos owned for 4 months COULD POSSIBLY be qualified for upgrading to a Quasarvos.
- If you want to upgrade, you must first talk to us. You must have drawn your Astervos at least five times. The Astervos must have at least 2 uncommon traits or at least one rare trait.
- Anyone who has drawn their Astervos at least 10 times and otherwise qualifies will upgrade FOR A DISCOUNT [150 points]. Otherwise it will cost 250 points [costs subject to change].

HOW TO OBTAIN:
Please NOTE either me or starryraindrops to order a MYO or custom!! Include all traits and information you want, and we will discuss a price. Some traits have set prices, and others can be negotiated. If you'd like a trait on your Astervos that is not shown in any of the example sheets, please sketch out what you'd like and ask us if it'd be alright! We're pretty lenient.
More example sheets of traits will be added in the future.
MYOs and customs start at 500 points.
Most colors and patterns are acceptable for Astervos's, but here is a sheet with common markings and patterns. It includes what is absolutely not allowed. COMMON MARKINGS

If you do decide to trade / resell / gift your Astervos, please let us know in advance so we can adjust the masterlist.
Astervos can be obtained from us by purchasing them from adopt sheets, ordering a custom, or purchasing a make your own. MYOs must be approved by either seashoredragon or starryraindrops .
When you order a custom, the art may come from either seashoredragon or starryraindrops . There may occasionally be giveaways.
