Description
Just some fanart for one of my favorite Planet of the Apes movies, "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes".Some people hate the sequels but I've always loved this one since I was a kid. It's just something about the ape slaves taking over a controlled society, good times.

I didn't mind the sequels But it's just Tim Burton That we should hate the most And Think I Knew that the prequels were kind of like the sequels

God, Caesar was not screwing around during the speech scene. I honestly like it should have ended on "And that day is upon you now!" That's when his speech should have ended but some people at FOX thought it was too "mean spirited" and called for additional dialogue to be put in. Without the additional dialogue, it sounds wonderful. Roddy McDowell executed it perfectly and you could just hear the venom dripping out of his voice. That's how it should have stayed. Β Β

Its available on the bluray disc. All of the ape riots at the end feature additional shots of not necessarily strong violence, but pretty up and in your face. WAAAAAY more blood then what you see in the US cut. The guy with the blowtorch in the riots is shown being set on fire as well. In the end Gov. Breck gets killed in the japanese cut, while in the US cut he survives. Caesar's victory speech is a lot more intense and talks about using humans as slaves, where as in the US version he says they'll together in peace.

Both creepy and awesome. I loved this part of the movie. I found myself, for the first time, slightly feeling bad for the humans, because (other than Splice where I wanted the monster killed the first minute I saw it) I'm always rooting for the monsters, aliens, demons, mutants, dinosaurs, and robots to take out the humans.

Easily the best of sequels, and still my personal favourite.

"Where there is fire, there is smoke. And in that smoke, from this day forward, my people will crouch, and conspire, and plot, and plan for the inevitable day of Man's downfall - the day when he finally and self-destructively turns his weapons against his own kind. The day of the writing in the sky, when your cities lie buried under radioactive rubble! When the sea is a dead sea, and the land is a wasteland out of which I will lead my people from their captivity! And we will build our own cities, in which there will be no place for humans except to serve our ends! And we shall found our own armies, our own religion, our own dynasty! And that day is upon you NOW!"-Caesar

"But now... now we will put away our hatred. Now we will put down our weapons. We have passed through the night of the fires, and those who were our masters are now our servants. And we, who are not human, can afford to be humane. Destiny is the will of God, and if it is manβs destiny to be dominated, it is Godβs will that he be dominated with compassion, and understanding. So, cast out your vengeance. Tonight, we have seen the birth of the Planet of the Apes!"

Thanks again! The eyes were really what I was going for and I wanted to give him more intensity so he didn't look too much like Cornelius.

Sweet. That was one of the scariest scenes in the series. Each film had its own disturbing visual, actually.
