Description
This is a piece I did for C2 pictures for a project that never got off the ground a couple years ago. Since I kept this image kind of vague from details in the project I think it is ok to show now. I liked how the fre and stuff came out on this one and it was a turning point for me in the way I color.Just thought I'd share.

Now that is one awesome piece of art.
The dark/deep colors really play well to the image of the undead character who's still fighting on after he clearly should have been claimed by the vultures years ago.

Now that's awesome. Zombies are cool, and cowboys are cool, but zombie cowboys surpass the very image of cool straight into the awesome territory...if that made any sense at all.
I love the background, the fire and grunge look is especially cool. And what what a horror piece be without a few sassy-but-sexy chicks in the background?

Have you always put "by Hartman" in your titles? If so, is it safer that way?

I did that at the beginning because I wanted my name on the piece. I didn't know it automatically put "by" your screen name on there. I was just lazy to change it and decided to be consistent. I also wanted my name to show up in searches for Titles instead of just sideshowmonkey.

I have to say that even though I like the artist who's doing it, every single panel seems very static... no real life to it. It was kind of a let down.

There originally was a title on the piece and that little hand was coming up in front of it. It's just a leftover artifact from that version.
