First appearing in 1954, Godzilla was mutated by atomic testing conducted in the South Pacific. Godzilla is the first daikaiju (Japanese meaning "strange beast(s)) and thus began the age of kaiju. Godzilla destroyed the Japanese capitol of Tokyo in just one night, despite the best efforts of both the Japanese and American Governments. He was eventually defeated by the Oxygen Destroyer created by the late Dr. Daisuke Serizawa. However, while many believed him to be killed by the weapon, Godzilla was instead near-mortally wounded by the weapon and forced into retreat. Now after 60 years, the "King of the Monsters" is back and even bigger then ever and ready to show the whole world who is the king.

Combat Style: Godzilla seems to hesitate before engaging in combat, sizing up the situation before committing himself. He favors employing his heat beam to attack his enemies before coming in closer contact to melee. Very agile, the monster is capable of surprisingly nimble attack and defense maneuvers, taking human and monster adversaries by surprise. Interestingly, Godzilla does not even deign to pay attention to the missile attacks and maser beams that glance so harmlessly from his thick hide, only actually directing his attention on such attackers when they have the poor luck to strike one of his few sensitive areas, such as his eyes. Then the monster is swift and brutal in his retaliation. Tenacious and unstoppable, Godzilla does not break off from battle until his foes have been driven off or destroyed.
