Another piece of pure photoshop work and this time for my little fanfiction project! Yep, still working on this story of mine (which I have been working on for about 2 years now...) set in the Black Mesa Incident. For anyone interested, there'll be more info on it down below. Regarding the HECU Marine in the picture, that is the amazing cosplay from opposingnath98 (opposingnath98.deviantart.com/ ), who kindly agreed to letting me use his likeness in my poster ^^

Regarding my Fanficiton project:
Alright, from here it's only about the story itself. As the poster might show, it's working title at the moment is Half-Life: H.E.C.U. as it is about the military involved in the Black Mesa Incident. The story follows multiple protagonists who are part of the USMC Hazardous Enviroment Combat Unit and shows their side of the event and the struggles these soldiers go through. Now I wrote this story as "canonical", so that means that there are no direct interactions with Freeman (as the Soldiers wouldn't really survive that fight) or any major/playable characters and there are no changes in the main HL-Storyline, so everything still happens as it does in the games. It's mostly a background story, self-contained in the Half-Life Universe and following it's rules, while showing character-driven stories in the tragedy of Black Mesa. I draw my sources from the wikias of the games (for example the Combine Overwiki), while following the "serious" style set by Black Mesa Source. Though I also keep the original Half-Life, Opposing Force and Blue Shift in mind.

The Story is at 20 chapters at the moment, with perhaps 200 pages or more. Most of my friends and families say it's good, though if someone is interested in reading a part of it and giving critique they are welcome to do so; Would be interesting to see what people outside of my enviroment think of it.
