I love this. THe blue streaks in the background are so cool! I'm going to have to use abstract backgrounds more often on some of mine if they go to black, it's too great a way to complete a composition!

beautifully done...I like the tight cropping, hmm, if I had any criticism at all...I'd like to have seen the entire wing (though, I think I see what you were doing compositionally- curving diagonals from each side?)

I thought the wing pose was a bit unusual, but sometimes it is the unusual perspectives that draw me to a reference photo. The wing is folded very tightly, so the outermost primary feathers appear to curl upward. There is a link to the reference photo in the description.

This is beautiful! I don't know what you did on the feathers, but they really look iridescent. And the way the background is darker just behind the bird makes it seem to jump out of the page! Well done.
