You have to draw work just to sell? Draw creatures in your leisure time if that's what you like, advertise the dozens of cute art examples you have for commission sales or whatever. Trying new things opens your watcher variety, I guarantee you do what you love n some people will love it too.

I've had more negative comments when I had done things like this in the past and it's always left a bitter taste in my mouth since. I still do draw them but I never post them, or rather, rarely. So I stick it safe to cutesy things, which I really do like to draw, it just gets boring after awhile haha.

Who cares about what other people think of something you're doing? If it's actual constructive critique, yeah that can bum you out sometimes, but other comments? Shouldn't hinder you from doing what you want now and again. And plus, if you're held back to 'stay safe' you're pretty much just keeping yourself from experimenting, trying new things, and opening up your improvement for better works, and receiving that sort of necessary critique that helps you improve. But eh, just saying from my perspective I guess. I enjoy your cute style but I was immediately drawn to hurry and favorite this one, even with it just being a sketch, it was different from the hoard of sushi dogs and frankly I thought this lil dude was creative and had personality! It just bummed me out to see that you can't post what you'd like due to negative feedback. S'not like you're doing anything wrong, harmful, or offensive by posting different styles or art types here n there.
