nothing to special, i had the idea in my head and it look really good, but i couldnt pull it off very well.my seconed in vue.

This pic has a lot of potential, just add some nice textures with bumbmapping for the boats, and let there be wind so they come to life.
As for water, add more reflections and waves, and let there be lightning.
I worked once with 3DsMax (similar to VUE), it's not that hard but the problem is the rendering time it takes when you add these effects.
Nontheless this is a very nice render, and I'm sure that when you put your heart into something it will always come out well at the end
