Description to be honest, im not very efficient or proficient in coloring a piece in photoshop as some of the other guys on deviantart are, but i hope everyone will bear with me.
i do this the same way i would do some paintings, underpaint values, and come back with color. if anybody knows of a better way, or more efficient way i can do things, let me know.

the greys make the drawing pop, i feel like they could be a little smoother, a better blend, unless you were going for a rougher look, cant wait to see it colored.

This is pretty cool -- with greytones you can do pretty much anything I think.

Yo, I've been coloring like this lately too but I havent tried the saturation trick Overground mentioned. I'll have to try that next time. The action looks great so far

This is actually the coloring method that I am now using, and I really like it. Plan a seperate layer for each seperate color, and then just saturate the grey into the color you want. It's done wonders for my efficiency and consistency. Oh, and if I knew you wanted this one colored so badly I would have done it for you. Sorry about that
Looking good so far... a few hiccups here and there, but you're way ahead of where most would be at this point. Grea work.

thanks homey, i appreciate it! if you would like to color it i would love it, you could use these grays as a tonal study if you would like, by the way what do you think about the stuff ive been posting lately?

Three words: Fuck yo couch!
I understand you trying to finish up some things, but I'd like to see you start something new. It's been a great release for me, and I would love to see what would happen if you got a fresh sheet of paper and started drawing something new. It'd be a pleasant surprise for all of us I think. Please your public Josh Flower! Give us something new!

hey man, by the way how do you saturate the grays in?

What I do is put my flats down first, a different layer for each color. Then I burn and dodge the shadows and highlights in (which can also be done with the paintbrush). Then I just use the hue saturation, under image/adjustments/hue saturation. Click the "colorize" option and slide the bar until I see what I want. You'll still need to do small adjustments, but it'll look very consistent and natural. It would probably be easier to show you in person, but you know, you're so far away and all.
