I really like the idea that Roland would be almost a disillusioned kid. Sick of being magical and kind of going on Steven's thoughts in Mr. Universe where he doesn't get the "normal life" most kids have. Also the fact he can't hide his magical abilities due to his eyes being a give away unlike his sister who can "pass" as a "normal" human.

Also yes White Diamond is "gran" because I 100% see her as the oldest/matriarch of the diamonds (though technically she'd be the great grandma but whatever)
