I DID IT! My first multi page comic just in time for Steven Bom 3.0! I wanted to have something with Steven confronting the gems about how the compare him to his mother a lot of the time. I mean, he's powerful but he's still a little kid, it's a lot of pressure on him. And especially after his line at the end of We Need to Talk I think he's reaching a tipping point.< Last Page Next Page >

The way I see it, the Gems blame Greg for what happened to Rose, not Steven. Amethyst blunt out admitted it, and Pearl probably confronted him after Steven's birth or maybe farther down the road. Garnet just veered away from him and looked down on him, which was her way of being mad at him for it. But I hate to think that Steven feels like it's his fault. Love the emotion in this comic so far.

Either way, it's painfully common for a kid to see strife among their parental figures and begin to worry that it's about themselves. They often don't have the full story and so don't understand the intricacies of their parental figure's relationships, and a lot of kids, especially kids as sensitive and selfless as Steven tends to be, begin go think it's their fault. It doesn't help in Steven's case there IS so much he doesn't know about Rose, Greg, and the Gem's relationship before his birth/ Roses' death.
Even in the real world so many kids worry once they hear their parents are getting a divorce it was their fault, and heck, I'm 28, and to this day if my parents are in a bad mood my first thoughts are "oh god what did I do?"

Yeah, it really is. It's just really sad to see if happen to Steven who literally does nothing wrong. And he assumes it's his fault, it's really sad.
And yeah, I mean we all would feel like that if that happened to us because we don't know the whole story as you said before. And I bet we all feel like that when are parents are in a bad mood.

I think Pearl still is pissed at him and Amethyst is resentful but is starting to step past it. Garnet, I feel, would have FELT like it was Greg's fault but she KNOWS that it wasn't. She typically doesn't allow her emotions to cloud her judgment.
I doubt any of them blame Steven.

Yeah maybe they are, and you're right, Garnet wouldn't let herself get carried away in her own emotions.
And to me, it's sort of impossible to think that the Gems blame Steven.
