Description A belated birthday present for my friend Nout. He has been lending me his BPRD comics lately, which to me means, "Draw me some BPRD!"

I guess he'd rather have had Roger than Abe, but I had an idea for Abe. So there. Still hope he likes it .

Inked with a Pentel brush pen, coloured with watercolour on Lana cold-pressed (NOT) paper.

I'm really rather happy with how this turned out *g*.

Abe Sapien is (c) Mike Mignola. I got my inspiration from the work John Arcudi and Guy Davis have been doing in "The Dead" and "Garden of Souls". Oh, and I also adore movie!Abe .

wonderfull job he looks amassing. i love the tital and background. you can just see his confusion and in his face and tell hes having a hard time with his past. amassing work.

I already liked Abe from Hellboy, and I am very happy that he gets more page time in B.P.R.D. His backstory is pretty fascinating...

I'm glad you like it! It's the first time I do a Hellboy character, and with Abe things just worked . I'm delighted that BPRD has become an independent series - Abe, Liz and the others deserve further exploration!

Hey, this is really good! I like the play on shadows and Abe being in the foreground and the portraits of his old life in the background. It's like Abe is representing the future, which is something to look forward to, and the portraits being the past he should leave behind... at least that's how I see it. Great job! xD
