i disagree about the lighting on her back- i feels it unnecessary as the kanji would show even without it.

still the model's pose is sensual enough to warrant a fav.

As said before by others, the shadows are great. They almost look like airbrush because of softness. It also gives a nice sense of volume.

Buuut... There's one thing that looks very odd to me, and makes me lot like the photo as much as it could be. I don't know if it was intentional, but that's my thought.

Let's explain: There is very good contrast in "almost" the whole pic... but in the left middle part, between hair and the cloth. You see? That part of her back is hightlighted and seems almost to fade in the background. It's my guess that a darker background in that part or just shadoing the left part of her back would complete and fit the contrast game in the rest of photo.

Besides that, as I said, the soft "light vs. shadow" in her skin and contrast in the rest makes it a really enjoyable photo.

The shadows are extremely beautiful with this. It is nice that you can clearly see the calligraphy in the other one, but I much prefer the lighting in this one. I also really think this colour is perfect for the shot. I love Nadine's hair. I can't help but imagine how it would look if you could combine the strong points of both photos. It was a brilliant concept. I always thought the first shot was very romantic and peaceful. I still feel that here, only that I think the colour is an improvement for the romantic feeling and the B&W was more peaceful. So, they are really both amazing in their own way. The cloth and her skin look especially nice in this and the shadows are also an excellent compliment to the writing. It focuses that element of the composition and makes you think of "I Love You" as a revelation, something being exposed in a very careful way. I do have the question whether this shot would be better if Nadine had closed her eyes... or just slightly closed them... or maybe was starting to look back, or hmmm down, a little. I don't think the pose is bad though. I really love this shot. <3
