Ah yes, it wouldn't be an undertale au without some villains, and look at the top contenders! Here are the bios as mentioned:

Both seek control of the timelines, and the only way is by obtaining souls that play through a genocide route. The more souls they have, the more powerful they become.
Chara is the same child you see in Undertale. They do most of the physical work because their the one that collects a player’s soul at the end of a genocide route. Chara usually fights off against my Asriel and Frisk of this au. They also enjoy taunting both of them about how their kindness and mercy won’t protect the inevitable. I drew Chara with their locket that their Asriel gave to them. They keep it mainly for sentimental value, and it makes Chara feel less lonely sometimes.
Gaster is a little more complicated. Gaster is from a different but similar timeline to the actual Undertale game. He used to be Asgore’s royal scientist and the older brother of Sans and Papyrus. At the beginning, Gaster was a nice guy, and he just wanted to help monster kind escape the underground. However, during the period where the six souls fell to the underground, Gaster loses both his brothers to the humans that fall. Gaster falls into depression and chooses to avenge his brothers. Then, everything is about the same, plot wise - he begins to help King Asgore collect human souls, but then one day he falls into the core and gets erased from existence. In the void, his heavy grief and loneliness causes him to go insane. Now, instead of wanting to help monster kind, he seeks control of the player’s ability to save and reset in order to destroy the happy ending he wasn’t able to have.
