Hey! sorry for late answer... very late indeed...
Do you know any program you can use? I use Adobe illustrator. If you learn how to use that, its very simple. Its important to you lots of shadow and fadings. You should start easy with some simple icons or something, and after you know the program well, its just to start with more advanced stuff

well... Vector is really points you can make a bow/circle whatever you like, and you can colour the selected area. Im really not that good in english. But if you did not understand it, I can try to explain it better
