I really like the way you blended fish and man. Something about his face seems off though. Cannot quite put my finger on what it is, maybe it is something to do with his expression or eyes that makes him seem less real.

Amazing lighting and colors. Love how the warm gold is harmonising with the tropical blue of the ocean. He looks wonderful.

I think this is the best G3M render I've seen so far!

Very fishy looking textureβ€”much more fish-like than I've seen up to now. Was it very difficult to attach the G3F parts to G3M?

Silas3D In reply to FyraNuanser [2016-03-22 22:50:42 +0000 UTC]

Initially, yes, as I've not done anything with geografts before and all the tutorials out there are for perpendicular grafts (horns, tail bones etc) rather than contiguous (grafts that follow the flow of polys).

Turns out that the process is pretty much identical, other than that when you set the graft faces, the ring of polys you need to select are where the graft and base mesh intersect, rather than an outer ring.

FyraNuanser In reply to Silas3D [2016-03-23 00:23:33 +0000 UTC]

Well it's good to know it's doableβ€”I haven't worked with geo-grafts for a long while now (I did a basic tutorial on it at DAZ year or 2 ago) but it's encouraging to know it can work cross-figure.

Silas3D In reply to FyraNuanser [2016-03-23 06:59:51 +0000 UTC]

Definitely - you'll need the cross-figure resource kit, plus some areas like the chest won't be graftable because of different poly flow
