Messy. All those colors makes me want to throw up. But for some odd reason it works, its like wow... it works. I don't know if your a color genius or this was an amazing fluke. Either way, damn amazing. Im still staring at this dream like quality of work.
I like your quote.. if you can't amaze them with your intelligence..
You have alot of cute works. Never forget to name your pictures well or to give good artist comments. Show your works to the best of your ability, visual presentation accounts for a lot, seeing that there is no museum lighting effect on a computer.

An almost dream-like picture, here; which, from the swaying tree, leads the viewers eye towards the vivid background, which, imo, doesn't take away from the background - it provides a contrast point the the elements of the composition.

i love the colors, and the tree...
this is sooo pretty! i think if the top of the sky on this would be a lighter color, the tree would stand out a lot more

I don't think the background takes away from the tree either, I really like it and the tree still stands out but so does the background, very nice

I love the medium! I don't think the background takes away from the tree, I think it enhances it. The colors are beautiful... and the slant of the tree fills the composition nicely. Way to go!

I personally really like this piece.
The colorful background is only contrasted by the dark tree in the front. It kind of reminds me of emotion...happy versus sad. That's how I feel when I look at it. It looks like the tree is sad in that happy world you set up for it in the background. Maybe I'm being a little too analytical, but I think it gives off that strong message.

I don't think the background takes away from the tree at all. I think it's because the darkness of the figure stands out from the colors of the background and makes a rather striking impression.
I like this and am adding it to my favs.
