- Ok so like. People are still faving this in 2016, so I thought a remake might be nice for you and it includes the other two parts of the guide that I deleted previously.
This is not the alpha and omega of winx style guides. It's not telling you how you must draw. It's not even that technical. It's just a bunch of tips. Hopefully it's nice and un-intimidating! It's not particularly amazing or impressive and I think that is important. If you want to try drawing a style, it doesn't matter if it's not amazing, as long as you start.
You can even see my pencil lines so you know it was done by a real person, just like you <3 The more you draw, the better you'll get. So, Go forth and draw winx!

Notes:

FACES:
Winx faces are practically always in three-quarter view (to the side)
Start with a base circle. Smaller circle for neck. Put a cross through it to place the features.
Add cheek and chin under the circle. Follow the curve of the circle to get the skull.
Features, using the cross to place them properly. Ears are better with less detail, it's cartoon anatomy.
I'll repeat this all through the guide, but always start pencil, and Don't Ink Anything until you are satisfied with it. I've only inked each step here so you can see properly.

BODY:
A basic skeleton for working out your poses. Once you break winx down into geometry it gets easier! Circle for the head, Square for the rib cage, Triangle for the pelvis. Use sticks for bones and small circles for joints, and triangles for feet.
Here's a winx body and for comparison a roughly 'normal' style body (don't be fooled it's still stylised. And I drew the arms too short). And now some general tips on the winx body style.
Skinny necks, arms, legs.
The breasts sit really high on the torso. Waist cinches in right in the middle of the torso. It's highly exaggerated, think figure of 8, hips exagerated too.
Overall, kinda pointy? Feet almost always in heels.
If drawing collarbones, remember they are connected under the skin. Don't do like the ones on the right.
Cheat! Drawing this rough shape will help you place neck bust waist and hips all at once. This is only good for STATIC poses, gotta do the geometry skeleton to work out action poses correctly.
Make sure the wrists are level with mid-thigh. If not, arms too short.
One line will do for butts.
Key to a lot of winx poses is tension. Poses that look good are ones that are not relaxed.
For chibis, just shrink the body and simplify it a bit.

HANDS:
There are lots of better winx hand guides out there. Don't pay too much attention to this one. florainbloom 's one is really good EN-RU: 5 steps to draw hands
I've seen winx art works where they broke the thumb like this.....So you can do this but I don't like it XD
Actual fingers have 3 joints. Winx fingers (and a LOT of other cartoons) you can get away with drawing only two joints (One bend in the middle of the finger).

FEET: Winx feet like heels...
Start with triangles!
From the side, Right angle triangles for heels, higher ones for tip-toes, lower angled triangles for bare feet.
From the front, Equilateral triangles and make sure to put a line in it, see boots. This line in the front is important, it shows where the shoe bends.
Winx feet are not often very detailed. Usually you only have to draw the big toe. Up to your preferences.
Sometimes you may want to draw a 'heel' to the back of the triangle to balance the foot.

LONG HAIR:
In real life, long hair would fall rather flat because of its weight NOT SO in the winx world! All cartoon hair has an element of anti-gravity, and Winx hair seems to be constantly moving
This shape is most important. Bloom Stella Flora and Aisha/Layla use this basic shape. It's a kind of pear. Basically Hair goes large at the middle and thins again at the ends.
If you want to change the hair direction (In the wind or something) just change the direction of the pear base.
As always, NEVER ink until you are satisfied with it!
