It's hard enough to fight against that stupid reputation/clichΓ© that Amy Rose got (such as 'crazy-stalker-obssessed fangirl' which she's NOT), so when I heard her new voice...I didn't know if I wanted to scream from sheer horror or just cry my eyes out till they bleed. That's how disgusted I am.
Amy really didn't deserve that 'Minnie Mouse' voice. That clearly won't help her to gain more consideration from the Sonic fandom. I feel so sorry for her.
Then again, I'll support Amy Rose till the end!

I'm begining to question Sega's knowledge about their OWN characters: sometimes Amy is sweet and cool like she's supposed to be, and sometimes she's just a little pest that everyone dreads!

I love Amy Rose, but I hate how they FRICKEN PORTRAY HER IN A LOT OF THE GAMES!! She was epic in Sonic Unleashed and then SONIC FREE RIDERS FRICKEN SPAT HER DOWN THE DRAIN AND I NEARLY CRIED. I really really really really want her old voice back. It was so good and matched her so well! Next time when I have a game and Amy's in it, I'll just turn the volume down and read the subtitles....THAT'S HOW BAD IT IS. I still love her though.

Just like you and I are getting older, Sonic, Amy, Tails, they're doing the same thing, but at the same time, Amy's voice sounds younger.

yeah I recently heard Amy's new voice too, i liked her previous VA (voice actor)
I mean I've always been a fan of Sonic games, sonic anything, and supported them no matter what even if Sonic 06 had big time bugs i really enjoyed it, but i really am NOT feeling the new Sonic voice, it sounds too surfer and kind of makes him sound blond, which he is isnt at all...
Or shouldnt be....
But yeah i heard a huge clip with all the new voices and i didnt realize that the minnie mouse voice was Amy's... I'm not happy about this, and this is coming from a guy who loved Unleashed, loved all the adventures, and even more am fine with the whole SonicXhuman thing....

I do like all Sonic games without exception and I don't make a fuss over silly things unlike some people do.
Firstly, don't worry too much about Sonic's new voice: I was reluctant at first but his voice gets better in the Sonic Colours game. I'm getting used to it.
Then, about Amy, thank you very much. It feels really heart warming to me.

It really is refreshing to meet open minded people, and honestly those fans that make a fuss of everything I don't really consider fans..
I hope Sonic's new voice can be something i can get use to, I mean i didnt see a issue at all with the previous Voice actor, and for those who did, i think really do need to shut up about everything and enjoy the game for what it's suppose to be...
I think my biggest issue with his new voice was that, well to state the obvious it sounds very different from the original one, but worst of all he sounds like some dumb surfer guy now, which almost makes Sonic sound like a dits, if not like a dummy... (wow haven't said that word in a long time....)
It really just doesn't match i guess what i'm saying...
But yeah I just picked up both the Wii Version and the DS version, so we'll have to see how it goes, I suppose if the voices get too much I'll just have to ignore it and focus on the adventure and enjoy it as usual!
I realize alot of people out there hate on Amy saying she's a annoying stalker etc etc, but I kind of see her as refreshing itself, i mean could you imagine living your life free as Sonic and no matter where you run off to, you'll have someone who is always trying to keep up with you, who actually loves you...
I dunno maybe I'm weird but, i think understanding what their all about makes me a real fan, compared to those who complain over every little thing...

Yeah, some fans can be so difficult sometimes... (for example, two people here have picked up a fight with me just because of this pic, wanting to force their so called 'truth' on me. How silly.)
Well, I was reluctant with Sonic's new voice at first, but I somehow get used to it thanks to Sonic Colours on Wii, even if like you, I miss his former voice.

I personally asked Sega/Sonic team if i could post or if they had a problem with me uploading Screenshots on here, and they said it was fine, besides they even have screenshots and whatnot you can download from their sites directly which they are letting people upload and or build fan sites with, but regardless so far two people tried arguing with me about it, and one tried to report me, and i ended up having to block em, because they were idiots, and just didnt know when to shut up even after getting owned more then once...

Anyways, I think I'm feeling exactly the same way as you, when i first heard Sonic's new voice I was almost worried that it may ruin the experience, but as I'm playing through the Wii's Colors I'm getting use to it, actually i bought both the Wii/DS versions, I just beat the DS Version today, and I'm a few acts into the Wii version, i love the game so far!
I think that's the problem with most of these so called fans, they don't dig deep for what any Sonic Characters are about, i mean people hate on Sonic lets use for example, and why is that? Because he's taller? Because his eyes are green? Because his spikes are longer? And these same fans start hating on everything why is Sonic turning into a werehog? Why does sonic need a sword? Why this, that, and then go on about some bs cycle?
I find it all silly and really stupid, I mean I like to think the Classic games was back when Sonic was a young kid, as time passed his eye color developed, his hair or spikes (quills) grew longer much like ours does as time passes, he got taller because duh he's older then before...
Even more the werehog thing, the sword thing, the hover boards and all that is just part of Sonic's Adventures, i think a real fan would know that Sonic is as much as about Adventure as he is speed, and so on...
I just think its dumb, you'd think people who call themselves fans would understand that...
This even goes towards others like Amy and so on, people hate on Sonic's friends saying he shouldnt have them, i could say should all people be loners too? I think Sonic's great, and the depth of who he is, and who's in his life is great, i think anyone who thinks otherwise aren't really fans...

I think that was the first try with the voice actor ( If you listen to Sonic's voice in colors it sounds PRETTY good ) I really just think we should give it a chance.....who knows? Maybe the voice actor will get better?

I only heard her voice in one game. It's the first time Cindy Robinson does Amy. You should give her some time, and she may get better.
I personally have no objections against that voice, though I did preffer her previous one.
(On a side note: the current voice actors are proffesionals, unlike 4Kids ones. With Mike Pollock and Amy's actress being some of few exceptions)

Well, I can only hope you're right about this person getting better real soon 'cause her current voice is really heartbreaking (so clichΓ©!) to me (almost literally). So, I'll be patient and wait.
