Description
First official Gods & Monsters art piece??? I think. The wave has begun. And Fio and Adair! She's a cute little mare, although "little" is sort of relative... Adair 6' 4", and she looks almost proportional. She's pretty sweet too... for a water horse.
Playing with styles... trying to cell shade and it worked better than normal, but I got bored, so it didn't turn out as clean as I hoped.
Story Adair slid the stirrup down, before swinging into the saddle. Fio danced beneath him, tugging at the bit, eager to get out onto the open road. Adair thanked his lucky stars that he had the strength to wrestle the mare, as she lunged forward. He managed to get her to trot out of the castle's courtyard, but the moment they hit the trails he gave up.
Fio exploded. Like a bullet from a gun, she shot down the path, dark tail flowing behind her like a banner. Adair clung to her back, mostly along for the ride. Even the strength of a demi-god barely held up to the waterhorse's black magic, and he was not so foolish as to try and fight the blue mare into submission. She would eventually settle, at least a little, and then he could guide her.
As they galloped along the edge of Loch Sealgair, Adair clucked at Fio, trying to keep her on the path, and her attention off the water. It always made him uncomfortable, running along the water's edge. Even though he'd been riding Fio for almost a century, she never quite let him forget she was a predator, and that even he was beneath her on the food chain.
They safely passed the lake, turning south towards South Bay, and as they passed the southern edge of the Marbhcoille, Fio began to slow her mad dash. As Adair regained more control, he slowly turned her off the path, wanting to return to the castle before the sun had fully risen.

Thank you very much! That means a lot. I've been trying to work on making my coloring and shading more cohesive with lighting, so I'm glad the effect came out well.
Thank you... He's one of those "handsome and I know it" types. XD
