blah.... a different uptake on "+ Droplets"should I use this one or the previous submission for a contest with the theme "Black and white with a splash of color" ?

Excellent use of selective coloring; it makes this picture special. The angle, composition, and droplets are great too. Did you use a medicine dropper to place the water drops?

hi i have just been lucky enough to see your feature in macrophoto -well rather the feature about you - you have a stunning gallery and lots of great pics - but for some reason this was the one that caught my eye - it is breath taking to me - i dont know why - perhaps because it still looks real and isnt over done - does that make sense ? probably not lol

my vote would be - yes, do use it! really stellar capture. The flower is almost suspended on it's own..even though we can see the blurr'd details of other things around it. very powerfull with the droplets in color, too.

hmmm...it's so literal "black and white" with a splash of colour...you've done it one better. "splash" "water droplets...i'd actually like to see a splash but oh well. the only thing bother me here is the lack of crispness in the grayscale of the black and white itself...i think the colour is taking over. it's great shot otherwise perfect comp and everything just tone down the blue and bring your midpoint and whitepoint closer to sharpen your grayscale.
