Third (or possibly second, I'm undecided as to whether I'm going to include the first) in my little impromptu series. : p There's no real reason for this series except for the fact that I like drawing dragons and I don't get to do it enough.Why don't any of them have eyes? I don't know.
Ballpoint pen and photoshop for color.

I really like this series, being an old fan of any number of fantasy novels involving dragons! This one stood out immediately to me and after a little bit of analysis I realize it's because it's much better balanced than the others. I'm a sucker for good balance in the composition of an image and this one's the best for that. The others are lovely as well, and colours are excellent in all of them. But I still like this one best.

He's quite beautiful, almost as if made out of ice. I don't really think he needs eyes personally (my dragons rarely get mouths, so at least yours can eat).

He looks so eerie without eyes. It's a cool effect. I like how he has decorative calcified bone mass over where his eye should be. Very interesting design.

i ask because of those little light things dangling around.
reminds me of some deep sea fish that live along the bottom of the
ocean floor.
that's a very inventive addition to the piece i must say.

There's something truely majestic about not having eyes. Being able to grow to it's full size, with the lack of eyes, proves it's role in living as a dragon..... or maybe I'm just ranting.
