My village getting swallowed by the great mist.Location: Austria, Lower Austria, Bucklige Welt (Wiesmath)
I want to thank all of you for taking the time to view my picture. This is my only shot with nearly 700
. I have been around on dA for 5 years now so this is a great success for me. This picture has been declined by many groups (like #Nikon-Photographers), while being invited by many others, so it is a great pleasure to see that you, the dA people, seem to like it well enough.
I do not think I am a great photographer or that my pics are anything out of the ordinary, but I do not think this picture is so bad it gets declined by particular groups, especially when I check out other stuff that is posted there.
So it is because of you who comment and fav that I am happy to still be here on dA.

Very cool! I like the rolling hills, the sunlight kissing the treetops and the mist obscuring the distance. The pretty frost or dew on the fields is lovely as well. Great shot, thanks for a beautiful image to look at today!

This is a truly beautiful shot. You have captured the mist very well. I like how the contrast between the more visible bottom right side and the top left side. You have done a great composition.

i would like to suggest next time wait for the sun to get over the hill a little more so you don't have a line going across your trees
but maybe if you waited that long the mist would have been gone, or completely engulfed your village

the sun was setting to the left side so the light was gradually getting worse.. I made some 10 shots before but this one turned out best. The mist changed every minute...
