For some reason my totally non-art-related course at university required us to submit a creative piece as part of our 'portfolio' for the year. So, of course, I chose to do a drawing. Basically it has to be medicine-related and I had to be able to waffle a justification essay out of it, so I used the heart, the thoracic aorta and its main branches, and the arteries of the brain as a basis for a 'tree' that symbolized my growth throughout the course.

Yes, very corny I know, but I'm rather proud of this piece nevertheless. For once, what I'd imagined in my head translated well to what came out on paper!
