Description

The prologue is over. No choice this time.
Now you all finally get to meet the other protagonist! Commander Speartip.
I’m terribad at designing new spaceships (though I loved making it), so the Arion is just a modified Normandy. I did design the little transport… that I’m calling the Shnozz. I didn’t even realize it had a giant nose until I was halfway through working on it. Lastly, it wouldn’t be a proper Mass Effect parody/crossover thingy without some lens flare going on.

Even though its been a couple of years since your last comment when are you gonna pick up where this left off? I wanna see what Ashley Williams looks like and can you also create some more pictures of Commander Speartip (Shepard), Miranda Lawson, and the others of Shepard's ENTIRE crew?

This is great. Of course now I worry about the usual "Twilight angsting about how all her friends and family died generations ago" since it seems pretty clear there's still only 4 alicorns.

The way I see it is that by this point, she'll have come to terms with all of that and have developed some healthy coping habits. That topic has been explored over and over again by fics and other fanart. While it can be an interesting subject, it's not something I anticipate bringing up here.

(Hahahahaha! Love the 'Tardy' slip and catch. Even in the future as an experienced Princess and ruler, Twilight is still adorkable! Entertaining series... I'm actually a little sad that it's all going to go to heck...)

(Their lives, their lives. I remember the Mass Effect series, and how everything got progressively worse in-between the moments of relief bought by the blood of heroes and Commander Shepherd's own heroism... I enjoy this series, I just think that it's going to twist in my gut a little when I see Twilight going through the oncoming chaos...)

(Well that depends on your view of storytelling. From the perspective of causing emotional investment and proceeding to play with that, then no. As you say that would mean that you are doing the story right. Now, if you consider the perspective that artists, writers, and story-tellers of all kinds are essentially torturing their characters to make the audience feel something... ... Ummm... ... Maybe a little evil?)

Oh, one question. Do in your story, Twilight as alicorn does not need to breath, eat and drink to survive and can withstand even coldest temperature ( reference to Luna being banished for 1000 years ), or you are assuming that seal kept Luna alive, and Twilight still have those vulnerabilities ?

In this story, Twilight is not perfectly invulnerable. I'm guessing the combination of the seal and the possession kept Luna alive. On this page, the only reason the others are donning suits is because they are her guards and would require armor. Twilight, on the other hand, needs to appear approachable and friendly for her arrival and an armor suit would work against that. She could withstand a little bit of time in open space if she had to and longer if she cast the right spells before full exposure so a suit would be an inconvenience. She'll get an armor suit eventually, though.

Okay, I just hope that you wont make her underpowered for the sake of balance.
In season 4 first two episodes to prove everyone that Twilight is not OP as alicorn, they made her underpowered ( she was doing worse then when she was an unicorn ), and while in the past Celestia showed that she can be a fighter who can dodge and even take a powerful hit, for four seasons she was useless ( 15 second fight against Chrysalis, become Princess Peach when Nightmare Moon or evil vines arrive - I think that Celestia was not imprisoned in the sun or anywhere else because it would make no sense since she needed elements to seal Luna in the moon, but many fans of the show just say that Celestia was banished when Nightmare Moon appeared ).
What I try to say is that I hope you won't make Twilight underpowered for the sake of the story and conflict ( or to let the second protagonist who does not have power of an alicorn to shine ). Let it be that Twilight pick up the bigger problems while her partner weaker ones, just please, do not make her weak.

I'm hoping to avoid those issues, too. I think and I hope I have found a balance of keeping her as powerful as she should be as an alicorn, and still giving her challenges and room to grow. And also without making the others dead weight.

Nope, just a royal guard with a different haircut and clothes. The color scheme was taken directly from the guards. Shining has a few differences like in mane color.

The signs are all there. Spunky personality, unrestrained idealism, bright red hair a la the Star Trek red-shirts, and a conspicuous lack of potential for a romantic side-plot... but hey, I could be wrong. Maybe SilFoe will introduce a new character. Maybe it'll be the angry unicorn in the background. Or maybe there won't be a battle at all. Maybe they're all just flying to Starbucks.

I got really excited on my second playthrough when I realized I could level him up to level 30ish or something (whatever my Shepard was at the time). I thought that might help him survive. But no, he died in the same scripted cutscene. Those little Geth drones really had it in for him.
