Description
It is a now-proved fact: my brain cannot concentrate on one subject for four hours flat. Every lecture, about two, two and a half hours in, I start doodling. Every single lecture! How does everyone else manage to stay awake/sane?Anyway, that aside, these are some doodles from todayβs lecture....

Awesome! I also doodle a lot, but to actually draw something like this I'd have to emerge myself into it, something I cannot do in class, even the most boring one... also sometimes I feel this sudden urge to start drawing, and without thinking I can draw great looking images, while when I try to force it, nothing but utter crap is born from my fingers...
But anyway, I love these, amazing! Erik looks so defeated in the first pic, makes me want to give him a hug even though he's a murderer... I forget it all too easy...

For some reason, doodling keeps me awake in class - if I don't, I zone out and don't pay attention. I don't know how it works, I'm just weird maybe?
I have exactly the same problem, with regards to paper though: whenever I have awesome paper, I draw rubbish on it, but when I doodle on a rubbish scrap of paper with stuff printed on the back - perfection! not cool

Well, I have the same thing. But my doodles aren't NEARLY as good as this they are really what you'd expect from doodles, random, shitty and small. I have many tiny Erik's running around in my workbooks, haha ^^
Yeah, I know the problem, lol. Maybe it's because when you have awesome paper you're much more like trying to do it right, etc. while with a piece of scrap paper you're more relaxed and just let it all come. I don't know... but yes, it's annoying sometimes... -_-" (let's say; often)

I draw... A lot! And it's not your typical doodle, oh no! I actually colour them in my classes!
Christine is so pretty here!

How you draw reminds me of the illustrations from a certain author's books. It's awesome. ^^

Wow, thank you! That is a great compliment. Out of curiosity, which book is this?

Np. ^^
Actually, its a whole series of books by Andrew Clements, all illustrated by (I think) Brian Selznick.

Thank you! The poems that they come from are "The Old Astronmer to His Pupil" by Sarah Williams, and "Fair Weather" by Dorothy Parker.

That's really a doodle? It's really detailed, and it looks as though you thought it through. Regarding staying awake/sane, I'm afraid you can't do both. Either you let your mind wander and retain some lucidity, or give the lecture your undivided attention and loose your faculties. At least that happens to me ^.^

Haha, thanks. Well, to be fair, I DID spend an awful lot of time on it - lectures are long, man!
Indeed, and so I realise. I'm going to opt for the 'keep my sanity' choice. Hopefully I'll still pass tho.

Hahaha, yes, that's what I usually do. Though I can't draw without being excessively obvious, so I usually read under my desk

I really like the contrast / mirroring effect going on here (on the right, Erik taking her hand sort of portrays the relationship they could have had, whilst on the left, it's pretty much at the point everything's fallen apart).
And it's so nice to see Christine in her 'Wishing' dress whilst interacting with Erik! Such a lovely costume eee! ^^

It's wonderful, thoughtful comments like this that make my day - thank you so much!
That is one thing I always wished would happen in the musical: that Raoul had just left the two of them alone in the graveyard and she'd gone back to Erik. ^^,

Not a problem, glad it made your day! ^^
And yes, very much agreed! Raoul should have left them alone; when he turned up at the graveyard, he ruined the last chance Erik was willing to forgive her... @__@
I always used to think because they kissed and Christine ran from Erik, that was really what pushed him over the edge. >__< I don't know if he always planned to be on stage during Don Juan, but that's how I saw it.
