Description
This is my first ever real photomanipulation on this sort of scale, I've often dabbled in certain areas e.g. eyes but nothing that comes close to an entire scene. Hope you like itStock used

I like this a lot! I think it really captures the imagination and I love how the pelican looks as though it is about to go and eat the fish. I also especially love how the water looks like it has been cross-sectioned, it's a great effect. The colours are all well balanced, and the picture looks like a whole (rather than a bunch of pics spliced together). The mainland gives the impression that this little island has broken off from something larger, and the lone island, tree, pelican and fish presents a feeling of isolation. If it was me, I probably would have put a few more fish in the water, and had that one on its own away from the group, but that's just me. All in all, I think this deviation has a lot of thought behind it and gives an overall feeling of solitude.

I love this! Very serene and colorful. My only thought as far as critique goes, is that my eye is drawn to the left side of the piece because both the pelican and the fish are there, and it's a bit unbalanced in my opinion. My eye keeps looking for more in the water and on the right. But this is wonderful, keep it up!

You're right, I did think about adding a few more fish and even perhaps a treasure chest faded out at the bottom (In the distance, in a slightly wavy watery pattern). I'll keep your suggestions in mind when I do another similar piece thanks a lot!

I think a strength of this piece is the utilization of a photo manipulation rather than trying to cover it up.

I tried pretty hard to avoid changing too much XD Obviously some parts were unavoidable in an attempt to get the perspective correct but overall I tried to keep to the stock as much as possible... otherwise I'd had basically been better doing it all from scratch which I might do sometime as I enjoy doing that.
Thanks for the comment !

Most beautiful, I love that feel of openness coupled with all that wonderful blue. And the tiny island is wonderful as well.

Wonderful! I really love that distant stretch of land - adds a wonderful balance to the piece - gorgeous minimalism and colours!

Thanks I really enjoyed using your stock. I wasn't sure whether or not to include the land in the background, that was a final edit

Very imaginative and creative. I think the way you combined all these pictures together is very smart and it just looks amazing
