Luna Starbuck is a dedicated police officer who lives in the dystopic city of Megaton, in the year 3029.

She is an expert marksman, but only draws her pistol as a measure of last resort. She is more than capable of defending herself in hand-to-hand combat, should the need arise. She is inquisitive by nature, as one would expect from a person with her exceptional level of investigative prowess. Her talent for investigation has made her a respected member among the more honest officers in her division, Because of this, she is immensely confident in her abilities. Unfortunately for her, her overconfidence, as well as her propensity for snooping has resulted in her being abducted, many, many times.

She works for The Sentry, a highly militarized police force that operates on a state level. The Sentry is financially beholden to military defense contractors, as well as illegal arms dealers who wish to keep a phantom threat of inner-city gang war alive in order to continue enriching themselves. As such, corruption runs rampant within the police force. The corruption is further exacerbated by the state’s prison-for-profit system, which incentivizes The Sentry to massively crack down on the citizenry and imprison as many as possible. Despite the obscene criminality present in the system, Luna maintains a stern, but positive attitude, aided by the fact that she has made a number of allies in the department, most notably her protégé, Ellie Juniper, a young rookie cop.

Luna is armed with a standard issue Sentry pistol which holds 32 bullets in the clip. Strapped to her utility belt are a pair of chrome steel handcuffs, and a dispenser of water-proof, super adhesive tape, primarily used to gag uncooperative perpetrators who refuse to comply with The Sentry’s “silent prisoner” policy.
