Description
I know, real original title.
This crow is notoriously difficult to photograph, due to the style of bars in his little "prison", I mean...cage. When he is perched at the front, it is impossible. Today, thankfully (and for once) he was on the back branches and I could focus past the bars.
Unfortunately he/she will remain at the zoo, a cataract and funky wing will ensure that.

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought crows were a little creepy. ...of course, the black and white filter doesn't help.
...still a nice shot of him, though.

I thought the black and white added to the photo, but yeah, it does seem to add a creepy effect! The stories and folklore surrounding crows though, gives them an unfair negativity...they are not messengers of death or some such silly thing, they are in fact intelligent corvids who can mimic better than a parrot!

My mom said she and one of her brothers had a crow for a pet. I forgot what she told me on what happened to him, but I remember her telling me that her family loved the crow.
