So in our verse Pinkie and Cheese are definetely not monogamous!

They probably have hierarchy in their relationships and they are each other's main partners. But it doesn't mean they can't get close with other ponies like Mister Troubleshoes Clyde right here!

One day they hired him as a comic for one of their parties. Both Troubleshoes and the couple felt a lot of chemistry with each other. During and after the show Cheese and Pinkie flirted with him a lot. The big stallion was flustered, buuuut he liked them back. And so he became their occasional partner. He comes over to their house sometimes.

Despite them not seeing each other very often nowadays, the couple still value Trouble a lot. He learned a lot from being with them and their relationships are a huge part of his healing process from his depression.
