A vampire has super fast healing, making reattaching limbs possible with little-to-no aid. However, because it's done so quickly, it's painful and quite exhausting. Even when the limb is properly reattached, it will feel tender, so it's recommended to take it easy over the next few days while the body recuperates.  In this day and age, anesthesia is an option, but it will slow down the healing process and could actually lead to further complications. So, the best one can do is just try and rest, and let their body do what it does.
