What's the awesome thing about having your (foster) dad be a doctor? He can give you a check-up in his own home office! I wish I was a member of the Marker family; I hate going to the doctor's office for a check-up SO MUCH~!
This actually ALMOST happened to me one time Before going to college, I had to get a meningitis shot It's summer vacation, and I don't normally eat breakfast on school breaks because I'm not doing as much, so I'm not as hungry. I actually don't get hungry until, like, late in the afternoon or an hour before dinner. So, start of a normal day; I don't eat breakfast, I get dressed and me and my mom leave for my appointment. There's only an older couple in the waiting room with us, so I'm thinking it won't take long.

WRONG! We sat in that waiting room for at least an hour (something about them being understaffed that day)!
By the time we got into the room for my check-up, I was STARVING! I was literally clutching my stomach, trying to block out the growling, because (just my luck) the room was super-echo-y, so it made it sound louder than it really was So, it came to the point that my doctor needed to take her stethoscope to my stomach (which no doctor has done before!). I prayed that my stomach wouldn't growl while she listened. Thanks to Sweet Mary and Joseph, it didn't It did resume right after, though, so I spent the rest of the time in that room clutching my stomach and talking a little too loudly to drown out the growling. Ironically, once we got back in the car, my stomach stopped growling. I was still starving, though. I have no idea why it stopped....

So going through that and remembering it last night, I wondered how Venus would take it. After little thought, I realized she wouldn't care, whether it was James or not. If it was anyone else, she would just be like, "I haven't eaten lunch." She's cool as a cucumber in that way

I have more reasons to hate going to the doctor's than just that. When I was little, the clinic that my mom used to take me to had a strict "no food or drink" rule for the waiting room, yet what channel do they decide to put on the only TV in the room? Just the frickin' FOOD NETWORK! What the heck?! I swear, some doctors are sadists! (It was a pretty bad clinic, too. Too many patients, not enough doctors, so every appointment took, like 2 hours at the very least )
