Heys. GOOD LORD. Finally got this thing out. I can not tell you how long it took me to finally push this chapter out. I hope ya guys like it.

“Why do I have to be here?” Ludwig commented,”I don’t even like the kid.”

“You know why. This is a family decision and we need everyone to vote. Even James took the time to come in here and vote on the matter.” Wendy spoke up her feminine voice a break through all the tough and gruff manly voices in the family. “Though he left right after.”

“Well Ludwig you need to learn to like him now. He’s apart of the family, well going to be.” Roy spoke up smirking at his younger brother. Crossing arms across his chest he looked towards his father,”Right dad?”

“Yup.” Bowser let out an exasperated sigh and leaned into his work chair. The meeting was taking place in his own room as to not raise suspicion in the castle. Adopting a human child, this was...Well not exactly a common practice in the koopa family. Humans were typically outcasts when it came to the koopa family but of course that had changed in recent years. Perhaps Bowser’s wife had a hand in that. That didn’t matter right now. “So it’s agreed then?”

Morton leaned on the table with a wide grin on his face,”Course dad! I can’t wait to meet him! He seems like a cool dude! Right Lemmy?”

“Well he seems nice enough. James voted to let him stay and well he doesn’t like anyone. I’m curious as to why James was so...free with his vote.” Lemmy chuckled a bit and smiled,”Ah it doesn’t matter! We have a new family member! I can’t wait to meet him!” He jumped on a simple red ball and balanced with ease.

Iggy chuckled a bit and nodded in agreement,”Yeah! He seems super nice and like a lot of fun! I wonder what games we will play.” He waved his wand around with a smirk.

“Iggy you better be gentle with him, Jacob isn’t as resilient as us.” Bowser said with a stern tone,” He isn’t a koopa, he isn’t a star child, he isn’t a toad, he’s a plain human. Don’t be rough with him.”

“Dad. I think you may be wrong about that.” Jr spoke up after having remained silent for so long,”When we can across those two sword wielders in the forest he didn’t seem so scared and shaken. In-fact he seemed more amused with the fact he was being held hostage.” Jr furrowed his brow into more of a thinking expression. “It’s like he didn’t realize he was in a life or death situation.”

“Perhaps he felt at ease knowing the two of you were around?” Ludwig commented,”I mean you are the strongest and oldest out of the nine of us.”

“Excuse me?” Roy said flexing his muscles showing off his obviously larger mass to the group of koopas,”Strongest? I think not.”

“It takes more than just brawn to win a fight.” Larry spoke up with a grin,”How many times has Jr-”

“Boys knock it off. We are not having another fight like this.” Bowser snapped and let out a soft growl,” I can still send you off to your rooms and cut off power to your outlets and phones.” Bowser seemed quick to anger right now. He wanted to get this issue resolved and over with. “Now back to the topic at hand. We already have koopas working on his current room, the already did the extension and put in the new TV. Now Roy you seem the closest to Jake. What else do you think would be good to put inside his room?”

“Huh? Oh um...video games. He seems to like those alot. Dad are you sure about moving him in the guest area? Why not move him ya know closer to our rooms?” Roy asked as he checked his phone for messages. “I mean it’d probably be alot easier on him and he’d be closer and we could get to know him more easily.”

“Well. I dont play on renovating the entire room quite yet. I haven’t exactly told him about the whole adoption thing.” Bowser sighed softly resting his chin on the palm of his hand,” This whole conversation just might be pointless. I’m going to talk to him about it tomorrow but still...Will he want to move in here?”

“Why wouldn’t he?” Jr spoke up,” Free food. Free place to stay. A New family? What could be better than that.”

“He’d be getting a new dad as well...That’s not always an easy pill to swallow. Siblings are easier but still...Maybe I should have taken Peach’s advice after all.” Bowser sighed again running his claws through his hair.

“Dad. Don’t worry. Jake will love it here.” Larry spoke up,”What’s not to love? He’d have to be a complete noodlehead not to love you as a dad.”

“Well If I got remarried how would you guys feel about having a new mom?”

“W-Well...It’d take getting use to.” Larry stuttered taken aback from his father’s statement.

“Exactly. That’s how Jake’s gonna be feeling pretty soon.”

The room fell silent and remained so for quite some time. Bowser waved his hand in dismisal the kids leaving all except for Jr who remained sitting down on his dad’s bed. One foot dangling off the edge with his other leg hugged against his chest,”So...You’re really going to do this dad?”

“Course I am...I don’t know why but with this kid. Something feels different about him. He didn’t treat you or Roy strangely. It was as if you were already his closest friends.” Bowser walked over and sat on the bed causing it to sag a bit. “Why? Is something bothering you?”

“I’m just scared dad.” Jr said looking down at the ground,”He’s weak and frail. He can get hurt easy and we dont know if he can even defend himself. I don’t know if I can even protect him.” Jr closed his eyes and let out a heavy sigh,”What if...”

Bowser ruffled his son’s hair and chuckled softly,”Look at you. Caring about your little brother.” He teased a bit and hugged Jr gently against his side,”He will be safe I promise you that. We’re the koopa family. Who’s going to mess with us?”

“I guess you’re right dad...” Jr seemed relieved but still uneasy. Something was eating at him but he held it in and smiled up at his father,”I’m gonna go to bed.”

“Alright son. Remember you can talk to me about anything.” Bowser smiled a bit as he watched his son leave the room.

Jr walked down the hallway watching the ground. His feet moved one at a time. Left. Right. Left. Right. Then they stopped and Jr stared down at the ground. His large feet each toe was adorned with a large claw. Jake didn’t have these. Looking up at his hands he noticed how each finger had a claw as well. Jake didn’t have these either. Jr felt uneasy and was fearing for his safety. What if someone came into the house and tried to kill Jake.

It wont happen again. News about this would spread fast. Jr clenched his fist and made a promise to himself. He wouldn’t let any harm come to his new relative. Hell even if he didn’t accept Bowser’s offer, he would still protect him. Jr walked down the hall searching for Jake’s room before he finally came across it, so many doors. Jr forgot that people actually lived in these rooms.

Jr knocked on the door and a soft,”Come in.” Came from the other side of the door.

He turned the doorknob, opening it up to reveal a rather cute scene. Yoshi sleeping on Jake’s lap and Jake still watching TV.

I turned to see the koopa and smiled,”Hey. What’s up Jr?”

“Oh Nothin’.” Jr walked inside and sat next to me with a smile,”How are ya liking the new TV?”

“It’s pretty nice. The Mushroom Kingdom has some very interesting channels, far different from the ones I’m use to.” I gestured up to the TV which was currently showing a Toad chasing around a dancing turnip wearing a tophat and bowtie. As odd as it was, it was rather interesting to watch.

“Oh I love this show.” Jr laughed a bit watching the Toad trip over the dancing turnip. He turned his head towards me with a soft smile,”Um Jacob? Do you like living here?”

“Huh? Well yeah. It’s pretty nice. Everyone is really nice. Never really knew the famous koopa family would house such an orphan.” I laughed a bit and picked up yoshi making a makeshift bed on the floor with a few pillows and a blanket. “To be honest I’m still trying to wake up.”

“Wake up?”

“Yeah...I keep thinking this is a dream. I wind up going to some stranger’s house, they offer to let me stay in their huge castle, I get to meet the princess and one of the mario bros, Luigi is my favorite don’t tell Mario, and I met King Bowser. He’s such a nice guy. Though...He acts to much like a dad. I got in trouble recently and he scolded me.” I laughed a bit and leaned back on the bed,”Is it weird that it felt nice to be scolded again?”

“Well...Yeah. Kinda.” Jr chuckled and rubbed the back of his head,”Though I can see where you’re going with this. It’s kinda the same thing for me and Peach. Whenever she comes over, she acts like a mom. It’s a little amusing but it’s a nice change.”

“Yeah...” I let out a soft sigh,”Though everytime I tell myself to wake up, I keep remembering that this is reality this is what is happening right now. It feels nice.” I smiled returning my attention back to the TV.

“Ya know? You are a pretty cool kid. Ya have nerves of steel, didn’t even sweat when one of those Sword Twins had a knife against your neck.” He chuckled and gave my shoulder a soft punch.

“Well I didn’t have a reason to be scared. I was hungry. I can only have so many emotions going on a time and fear wasn’t one I wanted going on.” I sighed a bit,”I was already annoyed and hungry, two emotions that never go well together.”

Jr laughed and fell back on the bed,”Man you are a trip!” He laughed and held his stomach.

I blushed a bit and hit him with a pillow,”Oh hush!”

Jr couldn’t help but laugh and tried hitting me back but noticed the sleeping Yoshi,”Hey...Shouldn’t we be quite?”

“Huh? Oh no. That guy sleeps like a rock. It’s crazy I tell you.” I threw a pillow at him and all the yoshi did was snort a little bit before calming back down and hugging said pillow with a smile. “See?”

“Hah...That is amusing.” Jr let out a rather loud yawn before closing his mouth,” Alright Jake. I’m gonna hit the sack you sleep well alright?”

“Yeah Yeah. I will.” I laid out on the bed watching the koopa walk over to the door. I smiled a bit,”Hey...Thanks alot Jr. I really appreciate your hospitality.”

“It’s no problem buddy...Good night.” Jr smiled a bit before walking out of the room and closing the large door behind him. He looked at the closed door with a smile before turning away and walking down the hallway. Jr was happy to have someone like him join the family and couldn’t wait for tomorrow. Jacob’s Adoption.
