It was a great game series. Sadly dead genre as far as I know.

I can't even remember the last beat-em-up game. I think they were replaced by Dynasty-Warriors-type games. Not quite the same, if you ask me.

Fighting force for ps1 was the last one I played, kinda forgot about it until right now. With all the retro stuff coming back, maybe we'll see some new ones.

Oh man, I forgot about Fighting Force too. I remember it being so hyped up due to its DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS lol. I kinda want to go back and play it again now to see just HOW much of the environment is truly destructible... my guess is not much.

Sadly, I only ever had it on a demo disk but I played that one tiny tiny level over and over XD Maybe that could be a future fighting game fanart for me to do.
