It's actually purple, and that's because the slime body is connected to the Siren Ducks' headmaster: [link] While Siren Ducks transform good guys into Siren Ducks, they lure villians to their headmaster for it to devour: [link]
Hearing Siren Ducks singing is what transforms you, when someone kiss their loved ones that were transformed into Siren Ducks, the siren duck quietly sings inside the person's mouth as they kiss. That, or the other Siren ducks sings while the person makes out with his loved one and listen to them singing at the same time.
