Description
Ooof, this took a long time to finish, mostly because I have so many other things that need to be done...
I had NO IDEA what to do with the background, didn't want to leave it blank to make sure teh bubble is visible, but I couldn't come up with anything better than this.
But I'm quite proud with the colouring and the coloured lineart as well, so that's a small win.

How cute! What an adorable creature; the pose and colors of the critter are very lovely and pastel, and Iβm digging the way the patterns of fur in the tail look like tops halves of hearts. The creature reminds me of a mix between a fluffy fox, triceratops, and Toothless from the movie How to Train Your Dragon.
I saw that you were interested in getting some critique on this piece (and in general). Hmm, thatβs a tough one, because this is so cute. But! If pressed, Iβd be curious to see what might happen if you make the line art darker and thicker. The reason for me is that with the background so saturated and dark, the light, gentle colors of the main creature get a little lost.
You could go the other way too β instead of pumping up the line art and making it bolder and darker, the picture could start at the other end and see what happens if the background is a bit less saturated and the blue background color duller. Besides being easier than redoing line art, changing the background might help the pastel go from being the palest thing in the piece, to popping a bit more.
In any case, it might be fun to experiment and see what happens. One of my favorite things to do after Iβm done with a piece is to play around with several versions, shifting colors, contrast and saturation, and then comparing them and seeing what happens. Sometimes, nothing happens. But sometimes, itβs magic.
Hope this comment is helpful, and good luck with your art!

Wow, thank you, this really is helpful I might try to redo this at some point, and then I will keep your suggestions in mind
I will also try to experiment with my art, and maybe I'll find some ideas I wouldn't have thought of otherwise!
