Description
It's the original mecha (yes, a giant mecha ^^) from the game Super Robot Taisen by Banpresto. Just imagine such robot with the size of a Gundam, and you get the idea. ^^ It has facial expression too, haha~ XDPiloted by Lune Zoldark, the mech was built based on her taste (She don't wan't the mech looks like her father's Valsion

Yup, don't you think that Valsione has a cute sprite in the game? And thanks!

Yeah, I think so too. That mecha always made its appearance in Super Robot Taisen. It just like Cybuster y'know.

Ah... come to think of it, I saw Cybuster once in SRT Dai-2-ji in my GBC before, my first time playing SRT games. =/ I still remember the MAP attack it did when it first appearance there, and I used to call Getter 1 and Mazinger Z "Cat Robot" and "Huge-Grin Robot" (still got no idea 'bout mecha anime at the time).
They're among the Banpresto Originals, after all. And both of them are my fav OG mechs, besides Alteisen.

Really... You know a lot about SRT. I still hve problem memorising all the mech in SRT series but my favourite mech would be Cybuster and Bellzelute from SRT J. They were awesome...

But I think you can search a lot of things by 'wiki'ing nowadays... And I'm getting interested in those mechs after playing SRT anyways (like Macross 7, Shin Getter, etc.), even though I havent really watched all of them.
So I guess you first knew Cybuster from SRTOG, right? As it's the only serie from SRT that got its localization, it's simply awesome to know the story. Cybuster's awesome because of the amazing speed! Of course it does, it rocks! xD I never bought J, but I saw my lil bro played one, so... which one is Bellzelute, is it the ranged-attacking one?

Inuzuka72 In reply to Silvarius86 [2009-01-15 13:30:14 +0000 UTC]
Yup... that ranged one would be Bellzelute. It was awesome when he trigger its rifle. About Cybuster, it starts showing up in Dai-3-ji but in SRT EX for SNES, it become the lead character.
I think i saw Valsione in SRT EX before. Lune was piloted the Valsione. I don't really know when Valsione start to show up in SRT but i think after Dai-4-ji...
Anyway, what are other SRT series that you play (don't care about the platform)

Yeah, I heard about the masoukishin game, and I intended to play it before, but... the ROM freezed at the battle scene.
So Valsione do appear in EX huh. Hmm... I played SRT in GBC the Dai-2-ji SRT G (I love this one) and SRT (earlier one, too simple, figured out both real names in Gamefaqs).
Because the game was so good, I bought the so-called SRT for GBC but I think it's fan-made and the cartridge is somewhat... pirated? I was too young at the time to know this, and there's no SRT series in GBC.
But graphic-wise, it's still awesome for a fan-made one, but the translation is still crap (maybe the Chinese translator). 'Bout the coolness, it has Valsione, Cybuster, Ashsaber (Axel is the pilot) and some mechs that I remember like Hyakushiki (Quattro aka Char), Nu Gundam and some others that I don't remember.
The cartridge is totally unusable now, but I really wish the game still exists somewhere in the net to be found.
The GBA one is the SRT D, quite a fav of mine, since I love most of the mechs there. Yet to play others but maybe through emulator in the future.
The last one would be SRT W, the one that makes me respect the team who did J and W. I mean, they did awesome sprite animations there! And they made one of the best avvie for SRT pilots too IMO.
But that's me, all portable system, and maybe I'll buy a PSP in the future, we'll see. How 'bout you?

I don't really know about Dai-2-ji for GBC though because when I search for it on the Net, it is originally for NES and the newest Dai-2-ji is Dai-2-ji SRT Alpha for PS2...
I have done a little research about the Dai-2-ji for GBC in the Net and it is exist. The full name for the game is Sai-2-ji SRT G...
If you wish to play it, you can just download the ROM and its emulator and play it in your PC. Sadly, it's RAW version which means it use Japanese language. It's catridge maybe hard to be found as GBC catridge were not sold anymore...
I hav SRT D too but I haven't played it yet because I want to focus on SRT J first... It really takes a long time to finish even just 1 mission. The enemy just keep coming and coming...
The animation in SRT just keep improving series by series... Of course SRT W also included as their best work yet but they are still working on making another great SRT series later and it would be terrific...
Currently I just owned SRT A, SRT D, SRT J, SRT R, SRT OG/OG2 for GBA. For PS1 I owned SRT Alpha (full of chibi mecha). For SNES (Emulator only) is Dai-3-ji, Dai-4-ji, SRT EX and SRT EX2...
SNES console is already out of dated and does not exist anymore but its emulator and its games are still alive in the Net such as SRT series... I use it if I want to play old classic SNES games in my computer.
I do not owned a PS2 yet but when I hav it, SRT would be my first choice especially SRT OG Saga...
I guess you will play SRT W first if you intent to but PSP... Right?

Wait, I totally forgot to mention the OG/OG2 that I played, heheh...
Actually, the 2 earliest SRT games I played are from black & white Gameboy, you can even try them on the emulator with the translation patch provided by some people (especially the second one, it's real nice ).
Yes, that Dai-2-ji SRT G is the one I recommend you, since you know then maybe you've tried it already right? But still no clue on the GBC one (with color) except LinkBattler, but that's definitely not the one. That fan-made one... I wonder if anyone knows how to get it?
With emulation, the translation patch can easily be found now. Thank God, cause I never even know how to use seishin until I played OG. xD; Yeah, sadly the cartridge can't be found that easily anymore...
Really? That's weird, because I played D without knowing that seishin exists, and I made it through the second playthrough (when I knew about seishin later in the later part of the 1st playthrough). Maybe that's why I thought OG was way too easy... >_>"
Heck, I LOVE D very much, with the Big O and Macross 7, plus Hi Nu Gundam and Sazabi/Nightingale, V Gundam, Z/ZZ, Wing, Shin Dragon/Black Getter/Shin Getter ... so many fav series of mine there! I used to spam Basara for morale/attack boost, and Mylene to raise back seishin, pretty convenient.
Yeah, I saw the PV of the SRT K for DS. It's simply marvelous! And it's coming out in the time of my final exam, aaargh... Gotta buy it in the next sem for sure!
I'll try SNES emulator when I have time for it in the holiday perhaps, handhelds are much convenient for my oft-busy days.
I also am looking forward to OG Gaiden, but I dunno if I could buy one PS2 and use the TV at home for that purpose. That's why I don't have any home console.
I have W, but not J yet. PSP... perhaps Advance Portable or MX? Well, I'll decide that when I got enough money later on.
Just wondering, which one of the SRT series did you find really interesting?

Inuzuka72 In reply to Silvarius86 [2009-02-03 15:10:25 +0000 UTC]
Well, I haven't play Dai-2-ji for GBC yet but I will try it later since you recommend it. Maybe after I finish SRT J.
Fan-made one? I think its hidden in the Net somewhere. There's no clue Dai-2-ji catridge can be found though. Maybe in the old games shop...
Well I also doesn't know how to use seishin when I first played SRT series because they were RAW version but I did make it to certain level until I lost. Once OG was released, then I know how to use seishin. Pretty slow huh...
Maybe I will try D also if I have spare time in the future. SRT J is not so bad since it has the same animation as OG2. My fav mecha in J is Maginzer, Bellzelute, Brain Powerd, Gundam SEED, Shining Gundam, Dragon Gundam, Rose Gundam,Combattler V, Tekkaman Blade, SPT Lazyner and more... But Cybuster, Valsione and Shin Getter doesn't made their appearance in this series...
SRT K... Is it the new SRT series for DS? Darn I never knew about it before... I should get one soon before it starts to sold out...
For home console, maybe you can just a small tv to be put in your room instead. Just small one is enough to enjoy console excitement. Sadly my PSX broke down cause my little brother trash it badly... But thank goodness I hav PSX emulator in my PC so I can play it just in PC...
Maybe I would try to get PSP instead of GBA as my handheld console as it can make use of other purpose rather than just playing games...
Well, most SRT series are pertty much interesting to me but my fav would be OG.
It also has their own anime SRW OG Divine Wars that has come out in 2006. Have you ever watch it before?

Yeah, perhaps it's hidden somewhere in the huge webspace... I might consider searching for the fan-made SRT when I have time later (but come to think of it, the game was so standard-looking, at the same level as the official ones, that I have doubted sometimes that it's made by fans).
Hey, then you're not alone. Things will become more challenging too, so I think it's somewhat a plus(?).
I doubt that any OG mechs will make it into new SRTs, since they currently love using fresh OGs, unlike the old ones. But yeah, I definitely love Shin Getter as well. You ought to see this: [link] I really wish they put in Shin Dragon once again, with the theme "Heats". The best thing about Blade in W that he got his some dynamic kill in Blaster Mode, which is awesome.
SRT K for DS won't come out until this April, so it's quite a painful wait. But it seems that the same team that did J and W do SRT K. Check out YouTube for the PV, it got awesome cutscenes compared to J and W! [link]
O_O Why the heck did your brother do that!? Well, at least you can play it via emulator, so it's not much of a loss (but it's certainly painful ). I may want to give PSX emu a try too sometimes.
Yeah, and PSP can play music without flash carts, unlike NDS, too. But one thing that make me feel worth using flash carts; the homebrew 'Colors!' that enable you to use your DS like a portable tablet for artistic purpose. Check this site out:
[link] (My gallery)
[link]
But since I love awesome graphic too, so PSP would be next.
True, I love the story and it's fully translated. And the BGM is overall better than other SRT.
I have only watched the OVA that I bought before. And I got the episodes one as well, but I haven't watched it yet, kinda don't have time for it.

Yeah, maybe u r right... Since that game is designed to be tougher along we succeeded each mission and we really have to use seishin in certain missions...
Well, not all OG mechs will make into other SRT series because some of them are really old and lame. They might consider taking fresh OG as you have said it before. Luckily, Grungust and Gespenst mechs goes on to new SRT series... Well, we can only hope that Shin Getter Dragon will shown up in new SRT series because I also loves them too...
Thankz 4 the link you gave me on SRT K. Man it was awesome, almost all new mech from new anime series were into this. To be suprise, Gun X Sword was also in the game. They have better graphic than any SRT series in GBA. Can't wait till it release...
Well, my brother can't really think well because he was just a 4-year old kid. They like to trash things ya know... Since we have PSX emu, that's a relief but the save in memory card can't be use in PC though. I have to start all over again...
Really, I don't know about flash carts but I think DS is okay just as they were... I don't like to put other stuff inside it or it would like to crumple out...
OVA has only three episodes and its event are after OG2. You should really watch its anime if you are really on to SRT...

Yeah, it's tough to get on without seishins indeed.
Yeah, I remember the Dai-4-jin I've played in the emulator got Gespensts (normal, R and S-type) and Grungust for the original character. But the main reason I want Getter Dragon along with Shin Getter in a SRT game is because they got badass combos/attacks.
No problem, and I heard that Gun x Sword is a good anime, can't wait to watch it later. But yeah, almost all are completely new series in any SRT, that's wonderful. But maybe when it's already been released, I won't be able to order from the shop for awhile due to a long holiday...
A 4-year old boy then... Guess no one can actually blame him totally for that.
Flash carts for the DS slot is actually the same size as the normal ones, but with a MicroSD slot in it for storing and transferring data. But I guess now we can even listen to music without it with the new DSi (but no homebrew compatibility).
Totally, I'm gonna watch it in the end-semester holiday later. Say, is the storyline the exact same as the game?

No doubt about that...
Yup, although they look like lower than the Getter Robo but they have the strongest attacks for Getter team.
Owh, that' too bad... I hope they keep one for you so you can play it after the holiday...
Owh, that's how the flash carts work. Maybe I should get one cause I want to test its music capability... I love to hear music...
It's the same but to make it as compact as possible, they combine some of the fights together in one episode but its pretty cool with whole 3D mechs than the OVA series. They also change the storyline a little bit so viewers can understand the storyline...

Oops, my bad. I mean Shin Dragon, the gigantic mech that makes Shin Getter looks like a tiny little insect. Sorry!
No problem! That one shop at Mid-Valley, they can make an order for you, and I'm going to order one next sem!
Dang, me too! That's why this time I want to buy one MP3-playable handset so that I could refer to the dA pictures for refs in DS while listening to music.
Sounds pretty cool, I'll try and watch it when I can later. I really need to watch a good mecha anime for inspiration!
But now I know how mecha genre is a niche kind of interest. Even some super-otaku friend of mine don't even like mecha other than Macross Frontier and Gundadm OO. Very... very... niche kind of genre...

No... he's my... ...Dai-Dai-Dai-Dai-DaiSenpai! (Or at least that's how he described himself, a senior of mine here in the campus )
Heheh, totally understandable, don't we all. I'm almost broke now due to my handset fell into the toilet (AAAARGH!) and I need to buy a new one.
Well, the order is for the game actually. But in City Plaza in Alor Star, I can just order any anime series from the shop (in case if it's not already available) and they'll download it for you in 3 DVDs for the price of RM12, a good deal right? In fact, the SRTOG DVDs is already there, and I saw Gun x Sword too (to be bought later).
In fact most of the Gundam fans love SRT (assuming that they are mecha fans, not just for the story). But us OG fans is in a little different category, because there's no Gundam here. Some may like it and some may not (but the Gundam designer did design some mechs in OG, like Huckebein by Hajime Katoki).
But overall, most mecha fans love the idea of combining the alternate universe into one single game, it's like... every mecha fan's dream. People who don't love it much are mostly not a fan of mecha anime obviously. And I'd have belonged to that group if not because of my very first SRT I've ever played. xD

Owh... He was your senior... My bad...
I feel sorry about your handset, but why did you brought it into the toilet in the first place?
Download is far more okay rather than buying the original DVD's... The subtitles are pretty stupid though and always spell out the characters name wrongly. I've buy it for Rm29.90 to be precise...
Even though the Gundam fans love SRT but some of them didn't seem like to play SRT because of the genre and gameplay system. Some of them just like to battle one on one or adventures with us controlling the mech itself. They prefer that kind of game...
At first I don't like mecha very much including SRT n Gundam but when I started to play SRT few years ago, then I've started to like it. Now I feel the excitement of being a mech fan...

That was when I went into toilet after a class, and after receiving a call from my classmate about "Kenapa kelas kosong jer nih?" thing. Then... after putting it back into my pocket, due to not pushing it inside strong enough... >.>"
No no no, that shop downloaded the fansubbed anime series... That's why I'm pretty much trust that shop. In one sense, they are anime fans too, and doing business on it. Having a lot of anime series in collection to be burned... Otakus? xD (And they used to say that they couldn't find Rozen Maiden because of the lack of 'seed' )
Oh yes, there's also that kind of game. So maybe not most Gundam fans, but most mecha fans that love SRT (especially the Japanese that can understand the dialogues). Even when you see song list in 'Daigasso! Band Brothers DX' mecha anime songs dominated the list (some of them even composed themes of SRT D and others). I mean, who wouldn't want crossovers of their fav mecha animes right? Can't wait to see Getter fight along with the Celestial Being.
So you experienced the same thing too. Well, now I'm even obsessed with mechs, hahah.

Owh... That's too bad... Never though that would happen in the toilet... There's one thing I like to know. You can bring your handphone to school? As far as I know, hp are prohibited to most school...
Otaku's that watch and also in the same time selling animes to customers... It's pretty good though... What I mean before, you shouldn't buy the original SRWOG DVD because it's sub are totally mess up... (fansub are much better)
So that's why Banpresto release Japanese version first so they can sold to mecha fans and gamers in Japan because they are the main profit of their company... Then when fans from outside Japan make huge demand for English version, then they release the English version.
Thankz 4 the link but I could not understand Chinese, their kanji are much complicated than Japanese kanji.

Most people do trust fansubs much more than the official subtitle, and definitely both of us as well. Rarely could I see a properly-made non-fansub subtitle, what a shame. =/
Yeah, there are a lot of fans in Japan. Even GunPla (Gundam plastic model) contributed more than 90 percent of the selling of the plastic models in Japan.
