You have volunteered to help the Ignitia of Drakrom. Among the grunt work for deliveries, caretaking, and heavy moving, a request from your guild comes in.

“Hello Recruit,
We’ve received notice of disturbances around the nearby rivers. As you may know, the Ignitian people may not be very open to dealing with deep waters. We’ve offered to take it upon ourselves to investigate and put a stop to these disturbances to better the quality of life around these parts. This is to ensure the safety of any weak, injured, or young approaching the riverside.

Predators have begun occupying the space, and while the option to vanquish these beasts is available, the river south of the relief area trickles down towards a lake where the root of the issue begins. Irregular currents caused by fractures under the lake have been chasing aquatic life upstream. These fractures are not mere cracks in the earth, these are more akin to fissures, leading into the deep depths.

A magical frequency comes from the floor of it. We have sent parties to observe and we have determined that an unusual formation of Crystelei had been forming for at least seven centuries or so. With the recent cracks in the earth, it is easy to deduce that these Crystelei Crystals have since been exposed; erupting in magical energy.

For any able-bodied and sound minded, we request you to report to the lakeside tent for your enchanted underwater gear. [[Think Link’s Zora Armour but sleeker and magical!]] It is not a matter of whether you can breathe underwater, but whether you will be able to survive the pressure so deep in and be able to see. You will be lowered by a weighted crystelei platform tethered to the site above, from there, you will be instructed to travel into the fissure itself. To break off fragments of Crystelei from the clustered area.

Ensure not to disturb any hostile lifeforms below. Ensure not to swim towards currents which may carry you off course. The gear you will be given must be worn in full. The less you wear, the more the pressure will be able to affect you.

Our goal is to chip off the Crystelei a little at a time to put a stop to the whirling currents. This will allow the Crystelei to grow and adapt to the current environment. Inevitably leading to predators downstream to return to the lake, allowing safe access to the riverside.”

Draw or write about your oc diving deep into the unknown to help chip away at the glowing Crystelei below! You may draw or write about them in combat with an aquatic beast, exploring, or any stage of the process.

Art Requirements: Any quality so long as it relates to the quest. Collaborations are allowed between 2-3 people max.

Literature Requirements: Solo lit pieces must be 1,000 words long! Roleplays may only involve 2-3 people max, note the group with the Log titled accordingly. Must be at least 1,000 words long for EACH participant. 2,000 words total for 2 participants, 3,000 words total for 3 participants.
