What people also fail to realize is that the only thing really keeping the internet from a true case of nerd-rage is sheer laziness on our part. I really don't think SOPA has seasoned computer hackers scared one bit...

As marvelous as that may be, you still have to admit that trying to organize them is similar to herding cats. Believe me, I've tried.

XD I just love your comparison
Then let's hope that they will launch some ... things ... in the same time
It seems that Anonymous attacked ! The f*cking FBI arrested the foundator of Megaupload and closed their site.

Thank you! I have lived around both cats and nerds my entire life, so it was easy to connect the two!
Yes, Anonymous reached out and smacked the FBI's front page. A little gesture saying, "We're not touching you -- YET." I have no doubt they could do much worse if they so wanted. But as for the arrests, give that time. If the legal teams know what they're doing for the defense, this won't be dragged out for much longer. Too many people are watching and are waiting to scream. It will buckle eventually.

I see
You're right, I hope it will be ok ! It's quite funny : how the FBI can dare arrest a german citizen who lived in New Zealand ? What a joke u_u
By the way, did you hear about "ACTA" ? Try to google it, it's worse than SOPA and co.
You'll find some link in this video's comment : [link] ( it's mine, I couldn't help but make a little something n_n' )

Yes, I have heard about ACTA, now -- a larger net thrown into the same ocean, this time from Europe if I understood it correctly...
I read up on the arrests in New Zealand, by the way, and here's the main point everyone seems to be missing: the FBI was working WITH the authorities in New Zealand. The prosecution requested permission from the New Zealand office, and it was granted. This wasn't a case of them just storming in uninvited, and that conclusion is pretty much what multiple sources are saying. Should be interesting to see how this pans out, now...

oh dont worry C: If worse comes to worse, the internet can just destroy the government.
The Bronies Can Love And Tolerate Them,
The Pedos And Porn Lovers Can Fap On Them,
The Duckface Girls Can Make Their Eyes Bleed,
The Tumblrs Can Meme Them,
The TF2ers Can Attack Them,
The Homestuckers Can Troll Them,
The Trolls Can Piss Them Off,
And We Can All, Beat Them Down.
But Seriously, This Bill Will Never Pass.
Big Companies Like Google,Wikipedia,Bethesda,VALVe,Mojang,Blizzard, And Many Others Are Voting To Stop SOPA, Only Companies Like Microsoft And Adobe Are Backing SOPA, because of the Piracy Of Their Software.

The problem is that people can accept a great many bad things, if they have but one good thing to counter it (Handmaid's Tale, semi-quote). It would be easy to pacify the masses.

.....if SOPA passes, the entire world can rest assured that America is NOT going to be happy. And, if Congressmen know what's good for them, there are these rights we have under our U.S. Constitution...one of them is called RECALL. We also hold the power to never elect them again. Although, I don't know how many people know this--I know most Americans don't even know we have this right or they don't think far enough ahead to consider that they don't have to vote for that Congressman again. Even if you're not American, it may help to spread the words to other Americans.

^^ There's a reason my profile name is "TheArtfulPolitician." It's more than one pun. I love to write and I'm a political major, but it also takes art to be a politician. I might do something like that, but it all depends on the amount of time I have. I'm a double-major sophomore in college...with a job and way more credits than average, so I haven't much time. >.<
