He lay on the rocks
Strength against the waves
He watched the new stars dance
Swirling and rising with the water
He glances down at his moonlit reflection
And feels it looking back
With eyes not his and a face not his own
Hair blacker than the watery night

Eyes of seaweed green stared back
The mermaid rose silently out of the wash
His gaze never left her enchanting colours

Without a thought he slipped into the
Seemingly calm water next to her
Her hands caressed his still warm body
Feeling icy scales against his legs
Heart racing, she gently pulls him under
Words unspoken course between them
Lips touch and hair mingles together
As delicate flowing fire

Aqua marine murk swirled around their forms
The surface flew further and further away
Lustful oblivion,
Pain burst in his chest
The need for air
She held him tighter
Panic seared into his fading mind
A faint smile touched her shiny lips
And held him tighter
