Some old sketch I decided to finish. No, it's not vent art.. I just felt like i wanna draw jeck and chains..yeah, as always XD !Related content

So sad ;u; I feel like getting up there and try get those chains off of him. Though I wonder what'll happen if I do.. somehow it feels like the chains are also keeping back something evil about him.. on the same time I feel like he's truly hopeless here :c
I really like the subtle light here and how you blurred everything around the edges, like.. how your vision gets blurry if you'd get choked like that by chains if you know what I mean, you can really feel his suffering ;u;

I personally enjoy drawing Jeck in such depressing situations, i just enjoy the strong feling in them x'D * feeling a bit sadistic now aha*
creating/controling chains is his main power/weapon that he became able to control after Zarsha's cursing experiments. So, they actually make him sick, but at same time he uses them for his own purposes ( and i'll say also, he enjoys having such powers) It turns out that it some kind of pain he get used with, because he still has more positive feelings about it X'D But sometimes, you know, when you feel down, such pain that you got used to, make you look so hopeless.
Such compositions are showning something like his inner world, where he got stuck in all problems he has ( and they shown as chains, not surprisingly ). Not sure what will happen if you take them off, his world seems to be bounded very hard with all of this feelings haha.

Haha don't we all enjoy drawing our moody characters like that sometimes heh c: I have the same with Matt and Shinri, but then again they make into the perfect victims xD
Ah, a gift that comes with a catch as they say xD He has to cope with the bad that comes with the good ;u; I understand though, when times are rough we do let the negative get to us much easily. Even the most cheerful among us :, D
But hey, that makes me love the composition even more c: About what you said about the chains symbolizing the many problems plaguing him. He's such a deep character :>

Yeah, I think Jeck is one of the characters that I really proud of... he has some right idea and dat "deep emotions and feelings" that you always enjoy in good characters haha
I think my OCs developed much in emotions right when I started draw each of them in exact mood. Like, I enjoy drawing Buran in annoying/stressfull situations, so he has a lot of parts of my character.. the way he wanna take care of eveything and such XD ! ANd for Jeck, I usually draw him when I am a bit in naughty mood huhuhu XD Also when I am tired and such... And so on for many other OCs.. I think that brings some personality into them and makes them not 100% fictitious

And you should, I think he's a very well thought-out character and his outer appearance is very well designed as well ;u; I especially still like the colors you use for him (: Brown hues also have a special place in my heart <3
Same here though! My preference of drawing a certain character also changes with my mood xD Especially Shinri grew so much due to that... I find it awesome when artists let their emotions flow over into their characters. Like, how they reflect the spectrum of feelings, thoughts, soul of an artist. I don't try to sound sappy here haha, but I really do think it's amazing how some people do that ;u; You too!
And I agree, it really makes them more human and I always loved it how it makes you feel more close to a character. Like.. you don't go 'oh they're not real anyway' but you go like this instead 'it's almost feel like this character is a friend of mine' or 'It is almost like I really met them' when you read about their story or watch a movie/anime xD It's an awesome ;u;

Класс. Есть настроенческое, а есть персонажевское. Это к слову о венте. Едем дальше. Как уже сказали, атмосфера отличная, мощная, идейная. Поза, кровь, разодранные крылья, цепи... Хотя, будь цепи и ошейник ржавыми было бы ещё убойнее. Но это лично моё восприятие. Ме очень нравится тот факт, что цепи не просто натянуты, его тянут за эти цепи судя по общей позе. Много чего интересного и идейного тут можно найти, сюжетного, хотя вроде бы ничего особенного, сюжетного не планировалось. Хорошо

У меня всегда в целом вент помешан с сюжетом, потому что как-то настроения почти всегда вяжутся с характерными переживаниями тех или иных героев ( а их то многа XD )
Опа, а про ржавчину то я и не подумала) * хотя работа экстремально шустрая, что неудивительно, зная меня хД я хотела ее за полчаса убить, вот сколько она по-настоящему заняла не помню, но не сильно дольше *

awh thank you! Jeck's storyline includes a lot of depressive atmosphere, but I think thats first time I finnaly managed do it XD I have a LOT of sketches like this
